I've ordered 3 sets of these for holding long guns. They work great! High quality and the right price. Over two years, the bands don't break. They are easy to install using a ratchet wrench. And if you don't want them to twist on the bar, just put a small piece of double stick tape on the back of the bracket or wrap the bar in electrical tape. It's not that hard...

While I might someday use it to carry a rifle or shotgun, currently I use it to carry my weed eater, and a shovel. Works great so far. I re-tightened the bolts after using it a couple times, and now feels rock solid. I wonder if after time the rubber pullover straps may fail, but they are strong and pliable now. Original review early June, and by July 15, 3 of 4 pullover straps broken, just for riding along. Pretty disappointing. I have carried a shovel 2 or 3 times and a weed eater 1 time. None of those taxed the pullover straps. Not sure how I can use it for any serious trail riding without them, except use some smaller bungee cords. I see they sell replacement straps, but shouldn't they last longer than 6 weeks? My quad is parked out of the weather and sun. Again disappointed.

I put these on my son’s 4 wheeler and I love them. They’re pretty heavy duty, got a soft touch that shouldn’t mar up whatever you put in them, they bolt on very snug and don’t move, very simple to put on using an 11mm ratcheting wrench, and on top of that look amazing.

I recently installed this rack on my 4 wheeler, so far, no issues. If I place the rifles correctly on the rack, it holds them in place even in rough terrain.

As others have complained, the design of the base is difficult to install. You cannot install the nuts to the u-bolts to the base with a socket wrench (no access from above). Access only allows a limited movement of the wrench, and it is very tedious to tighten it sufficiently. They use a lock nut (includes a teflon insert) to keep it tightened but makes it a slow real long process to tighten the system.I did give it a 4 out of 5 because it appears to be overall very well built and hold the rifles in place after installed.
