About this item

  • Better Heat Dissipation: Graphite heat sink is a new type of heat-conducting heat-dissipating material with unique grain orientation and uniform heat conduction in two directions. The layered structure can be well adapted to any surface, shielding heat source and components while improving consumer electronics. performance. The product evenly dissipates heat while providing thermal isolation in terms of thickness
  • High Thermal Conductivity: Thermal conductivity up to 1600W/(M-K) (equivalent to 2 to 4 times copper, 3 to 6 times aluminum), thermal 40% lower than aluminum and 20% lower than copper
  • Utral Thin: Weighing only 1.0-1.9g/cm3, (density is equivalent to 1/4 to 1/10 of copper, 1/1.3 to 1/3 of aluminum)
  • Avoids Damage: Graphite sheets are soft and easy to cut (can be bent repeatedly) without cracking or breaking
  • Widely Applicatons: The can be combined with other materials such as metal, plastic, and self-adhesive to meet more design functions and needs

While I was able to replace the missing graphite on my laptop heatsink, the plastic film was so difficult to remove that I had to resort to applying slight pressure to the graphite side using a kitchen knife to cut the graphite without cutting the plastic just so I could peel it off. A major improvement would be to extend the plastic film so that it stretches farther than the graphite, but overall, a good product.

Drastically reduced the temperature on sensitive components by tying to a large thermally conductive area. Not much more to it than that. The only thing that could be done better is shipping in a more rigid package so that severe bending doesn't occur.

I apply this to the inside of phone cases and use it to assist in device cooling. It does a great job at assisting thermal transfer and distributing heat evenly over the surface it is applied to.

Tried this in place of arctic silver paste, CPU temps jumped to 100C as soon as load applied. With arctic silver, it stays around 60C.

Item is very thin and fragile as stated in the item description. Its primary packaging is a simple ziploc bag. Because of this, it is very difficult to arrive by shipping in pristine condition which is obviously a requirement for its intended application - must have completely smooth, flat surface. If item arrives in default shipping packaging of Amazon's bubble mailer, it will be completely creased, wrinkled, and bumpy and severely compromised. It will be difficult to apply because the stickiness and the wrinkliness make it very difficult to get flat.

I used this for upgrading the GPU in a 2011 iMac. Considering that this computer is notorious for GPU overheating failures and this new GPU is staying cool, I am impressed how well it works. More importantly, less messy than using thermal paste.

So a sheet of this would have been super amazing.... However, it has a thin plastic sheet on one side and is nearly impossible to remove. Later I tried removing the pad I installed under a Northbus heatsink on my motherboard and discovered the pad was stuck with the side I removed the thin plastic layer from and was near permanently attached to my heatsink. Scraping and lots of industrial cleaning alcohol was involved while removing the pad and a thin layer of film from the heatsink. I guess it was a heat curing adhesive like an iron on patch for clothing.NOWHERE was the plastic layer OR the ADHESIVE mentioned causing a loss of hours of my life, also the thermal conductivity of my pad was equivalent to a good silicone pad; which I had under the heatsink before.
