I teach college science classes and am pretty fluent in a variety of calculators after helping so many students with whatever calculator they own. The button layout reminds me of Casio-brand scientific calculators more than TI-brand. It comes with a user manual, which is helpful for accessing some of the more advanced features. But, I was able to explore the settings without the manual. It does have a "format" button for quickly changing a number between an improper fraction to decimal or engineering notation. A bit annoying that scientific notation is not a option under the formatting button. I can select it to show scientific notation from the settings. For the "thousands" separator, it will put a space rather than a comma.I got the "non-programmable" graphing calculator. A lot of standardized tests and college instructors ban programmable calculators. It's good to have a calculator that can do two-line fractions, graphs, matricies, integrals, etc, but isn't fancy enough to get banned. The non-programmable calculator is by far much less expensive than the name-brand graphing calculators, so you can expect it to be lacking some of the more modern features (like color display, rechargeable batteries, etc). However, the older TI graphing calculators from a couple decades ago lack those features also and are still twice the price. This calculator still has some features that those older graphing calculators lacked: multi-line fractions, integrals, summation notation, etc.It does everything I need it to do so I don't really have any complaints.

Our son's fancy scientific calculator which was mandatory for one professor was not allowed by his next professor. This one was OK'd by his latest professor. Apparently students cannot cheat on tests with a calculator like this one. Our son didn't take long to learn how this one works. It is not solar nor rechargeable, so I would recommend that you always carry a spare set of fresh batteries with you to make sure it doesn't fail during a test.

The keyboard on this calculator feels great to use and responds quickly. The screen is sharp and easy to read, making it perfect for students. It comes with a variety of useful pre-programmed functions, and the fully graphical display makes great use of the screen. Overall, a practical and visually appealing calculator for anyone in need of advanced features.

got this calculator for my nephew who is preparing to take trig. calculus, and statistics in high school. My go to brand while growing up is Texas Instruments & HP but these are just as good. I'm sure you can get the same features via an app on your smart phone but that is not allowed in a classroom or test taking situation. It's been decades since I have to use a scientific calculator for class but this should be more than adequate for advanced math classes at the high school & college levels.

This calculator is equipped with 10 modes that cover everything from basic math to more advanced functions like math and trigonometry. The 4 graph functions allow graphs to be drawn with ease, making it perfect for topics such as algebra, geometry, and precalculation. I've found that graphing capabilities are especially useful for visualizing functions and solving equations – a must for any student or teacher dealing with complex mathematical concepts. Despite being packed with features, the IPepul calculator is surprisingly easy to navigate. The large buttons and clear display make it easy to enter equations and read results without squinting or getting confused with complicated menus. I appreciate how intuitive it is to switch between modes, and the quick keys for frequently used functions are a big plus.
