This is a very good equalizer. I give 4 stars out of 5 just because it has no on/off switch. You have to pull the plug out from 110 v every time you need connect the wires to the amplifier or to cd player.

There's nothing bad I can say about this EQ as it will keep up with other brand name EQ's. Surprisingly, it's exactly like a famous brand name that I won't mention due to copyrights. So, if you do your homework, you'll end up with a top end EQ at a fraction of the cost.

If you are on a tight budget and need a little adjustment to your installations output, this should work just fine for you. The controls are basic but do what they need to do, and works for what you would need to make minor adjustments for PA or simple RTA/venue purposes. The EQ is pretty sterile and dry from a coloration or vibe standpoint, but this isn't a mastering EQ or something like that, this is plain old simple GEQ action, and if you need to adjust your signal, this EQ will make those adjustments you dial in, nothing more, nothing less. The buttons and sliders all feel OK, nothign special but nothing horrible either. The unit doesn't seem to produce any noticeable noise or other problems with the signal, so that's good. It's basic, but it gets the job done at a great price. The connectors are all OK and snug, and work as they are supposed to.

The item reviewed is a MIZISNR Stereo Equalizer for Home Audio Systems, Live PA or In Studio mixing with noise reduction. It has Dual Channel 15-Band Graphic Equalizers and has a footprint of 19" at 1U for Professional Rack Mounting - Model EQ215.I had just recently reviewed another EQ that, confusingly enough, had the exact same model number and functions, only from a different brand name. Other differences are the controls knobs and functions just have a different layout and design. (some knobs instead of sliders or buttons, etc.) So, I tested this item just as I had the previous EQ. The performance, price point and functionality are basically identical. The one standout is that this unit from MIZISNR had a much better packaging and marketing presentation. Also, the footprint of this unit as in depth when mounting in a 19" rack was bigger. The review continues from this point matching my previous review. This unit has XLR and 1/4 input and output on 2 channels making it very versatile for in line connectivity. I record both analog and in the box in my studio, so I was very surprised at the performance when using this EQ in line DI with my mixing boards. The band adjustments have just the right sensitivity with Unity being indented making it easy to find during adjustments. Having 2 channels at 15 bands each makes selecting A/B very convenient. It has a Low cut control button, By-Pass button and an extra Gain control slider as well.I have a home theater system in my studio to check playback on mixes and this unit also integrates well to use in that chain, providing sound level references during real world listening. So far, I have not had heat or noise issues during long sessions with this EQ in multiple different chains. At this price point, I think it is a great value and performs at levels of value priced name brand equipment such as Behringer and Donner. I can recommend this EQ.

This equalizer does its job well, providing effective EQ adjustments with professional XLR connectors. However, it does have a few quirks. The build quality feels slightly cheap, and it’s not a true "1U" rack size, which could be frustrating if you're trying to optimize rack space.Performance-wise, the EQ functions effectively for basic sound tuning, and the sliders move smoothly. It’s great for live sound applications, though there is a slight hiss that makes it less suitable for studio use. The limiter is nice for live performances or karaoke gigs. For casual or live sound users, it offers great value for its price, especially considering its versatility and ease of use. However, those seeking pristine audio for professional studio work or trying to fit multiple units into a compact rack setup may find it lacking. Overall, a solid budget-friendly choice, but be prepared to sacrifice a bit on fit and finish.

I got this to help quickly and easily fine tune my audio and it works great. I'm pretty new to this so I'm not sure what more I could do with additional bands, 15 was pretty effective. I don't even need both channels for what I'm doing but I'm excited to try finding a use for the second one. When adding and removing things from the back it's a little flimsy, you can feel the panels flex which isn't ideal but isn't uncommon with this kind of rack based setup either. It's a good value so I can overlook minor things like that if it functions well, which it does. It was easy to set up very quickly and integrate it with my existing setup.Mostly I'm using it to make my voice sound impressive when GMing online role playing games so my twin brother will maybe finally listen to me (I joke, he's a good player at the table because he usually GMs) but this would rock for streaming or setting up a basic at home recording studio.

Overall, it does what it is supposed to (EQ), and it does have XLR connectors....but, the fit and finish is a bit on the cheap side, and the unit is not a true "1U" rack fit. I also purchased a rack mount power supply from this brand, which also is slightly oversized and has screw heads on the bottom of it which interfere a little with neighboring devices...While I have no complaints, thus far, on the operation of these components, you should plan on losing a rack space if using multiple of them together.
