Had a big ol' crack along the front of the sink in my granite countertop. Was looking at a costly job to have it filled ... then I found this DIY solution! The kit comes with various colors to add to the epoxy sealant to mix in and "match" the swirly colors going through the stone. It's not perfect, but does the job. The crack is filled, the chunk of granite forever sealed in place, and it looks pretty good!

I ordered this product because i THOUGHT it was going to contain a wheel of colors. Keep this in mind when comparing to other products. The colors shown in a circle in the ad are suggestions of possible colors you could make from the three colors (only) included in the kit. So, this added another step in matching my color flecks- having to take the "basic" colors and make some "secondary" colors, then blend and mix those into some "tertiary" colors, all without any instructions or color recipies. Write them down as you make them or you never come close for the second batch you need after the first batch settles into the crack. Product itself is decent. Comes with sandpapers. Hint: the epoxy will gell as it hardnes, when it does, use a brand new single edge razor blade to cut the material protruding from the repair before it completely sets. You CANT sand it until it has completly hardened, it just makes the surface foggy and clogs the sandpaper.

Great product. Very easy to use, I just wish they had a few more mixing colours added so that I could really get the right colour mixed up. With what I received, it was the best that I could do. It is why I gave them 4 stars.

Great product for small repairs. Not the products fault but color matching is the most difficult part.

I’ve had a large crack in the granite in front of my kitchen sink for several years (improperly installed). It was professionally repaired once, but after a while it continued cracking. I thought I’d give repairing it myself a try before taking on a new kitchen counter replacement project. It’s easy to work with. I would have liked more “stir sticks” toothpicks, gloves, etc., and better instructions ie: drying time, can it be buffed, is there a sealant that can go over it?Before I started I filled the crack with caulking just below the the surface and let it dry. Then I mixed a small sampling of the epoxy to test it. Because of the multiple colors I had to do it in multiple steps with some drying time between steps. It needs touching up, but overall, it’s far better than the crack!!!

Product easy to work with although trying to match the counter colour was tricky. I made four attempts at matching the colour. Otherwise it did cover the chipped counter.

Tinting the colour is not easy.Applying to the counter is easy. The instruction indicates 3-4 hours curing time, actually it is still soft and sticky after 24 hours.

This worked much better than I expected to repair a large crack in a marble tabletop, I first opened the crack a bit with a Dremel tool. Luckily I started on the bottom side and learned that I needed to match the color of the streaks that ran through the marble rather than the marble itself. Once I let that cure overnight and turned my attention to the top I was able to do a better job. By matching the color to the brownish streaks that ran through the marble, the filled crack was virtually invisible once filled and sanded. The included sand paper was somewhat stingy but I had plenty of my own. My wife then polished the surface with diamond discs in a electric drill to remove some old water stains and then sealed it with a marble sealer. The crack is now completely invisible and the joint seems to be strong. I had plenty of working time once I mixed the two parts and found the tint easy to use to get an exact color match, although a little tint goes a long way, so start by adding the tiniest amount on the tip of a toothpick.. I never thought this tabletop was salvageable with a crack about 25 inches long. I was pleasantly surprise at the completely invisible and seemingly strong repair that this kit made possible.

This repair kit works great. I broke my porcelain floor vase in pieces as you can see in the picture. It was a good opportunity to change the color and repair the vase. It looks great.

Purchased product to fill in a crack in a granite countertop. Product description appealed due to color matching promise.I would suggest forgetting about this feature if you are attempting the same fix as I was. The three vials of color are inadequate for a serious color match, in my case a brown close to chocolate. One of the vials was barely filled.Application is messy. If you are filling in a crack I would suggest forgetting about this product and opt for one of the injectable devices, even if iy doesn't have color matching capabilities.

Needed to fill drill holes in a white marble sill along the base of a shower after installing a new glass enclosure.Color matching wasn't too difficult since it was white, but I did need to add a tiny bit of the black dye to get the right match. The dye set for this kit doesn't have a lot of options, but you can also use the 2-part epoxy base with dyes from other kits.It was easy to mix and apply. I over-filled the holes a bit and sanded it down with sanding discs in sequence from 100 up to 3000. YOU WILL WANT A ROTARY SANDER OR DRILL WITH SANDING DISC KIT if you're going to use this on a smooth / polished surface. As you can see in the pictures, the repair isn't noticeable unless you really get up close and look for it.The material is not nearly as hard as the marble (which is a good thing since I needed to sand it). I'd say it feels kind of like a very hard plastic when hardened. I also ordered an acrylic-based tile repair kit, but I liked the way this epoxy material hardened much more than the acrylic putty (which seemed more brittle and crumbly) - so for repairs to some holes in blue tile I used the dye set from the acrylic kit with the epoxy from this one.
