Bought a used clock and it didn't have a key. This key fits perfectly, now able to keep the glass door secure and locked.

After seeing some reviews saying that this didn't work with their clock, I was hesitant to buy it, but figured if it didn't, I could always return it.Had this grandfather clock shipped from my dad's house in CA to me here in NC in a POD with a bunch of other stuff. Unfortunately, when the movers packed up the POD, they wrapped up the pendulum in a separate blanket and plastic wrap for safer shipping, which I found, but also packed the top spire and the key together in a separate box, which they neglected to label. So somewhere in three rooms of boxes that we unpacked from the POD last weekend, there is a key for this clock. I did not want to wait until I found it to set up and start the grandfather clock running, so went ahead and bought this key, in the hope that it would work.Yay! It did. It fit in, turned easily, and just like that, the clock door opened. I have no idea of the specific make and year of the clock, other than it is a Ridgeway, and we had it in the house in CA back in the 80s and 90s, so definitely before 2004.So happy to say that it worked perfectly for me.

The key was as advertised.Before ordering, it is important to check the type of lock on the clock cabinet with the example on the Howard Miller website so that the correct key is purchased

I didn't think I could find a key for the lock on the door. I have not been able to open it for over 10 years. My housecleaners lost it &/or threw it out.It works.

Tried to lookup my 1976 Ridgeway Grandfather clock for door key. Couldn’t find the exact part number. Description said door key was for prior 2004. Well, mine is 1976 (paperwork inside of clock), but it didn’t work. My fault, thought I would try it. Still have the original key (only 1), but have 11 grandkids, so worry it will disappear. I’ll keep looking.
