Our boat security gps came with a small antenna and before had location jumping alot depending on weather. Often installed by panel boxes in cabin below. Simply unscrew the old antenna and replace it with this. Run the extension wire so that the new gps antenna unit is just below the top deck, in center if possible, and just like that the location accuracy has been greatly improved
