Like the ice. Nice machine. Down side. Loud beeping all the time. Can not shut the beeping off. Really annoying at 3 a.m. Update. The seller has been very helpful. Now know how to turn off beeping. Great customer service.

Govee was highly recommended. Works great. Makes a lot of ice quickly. I run almost ever evening for 1-3 hours then transfer the ice to my freezer. Kind id loud when the ice drops. Perfect size

This is my 11th Govee product, my 1st Govee appliance. Work's well makes ice pretty fast. Love the wifi functionality for the scheduling aspect. Definitely makes some noise but you get used to it pretty fast. Being a Govee Product you know it has lighting effects which I like. Seems to be built well and fits under the upper cabinets for storage. We have to pull it forward to open the hatch to access the ice cubes. Over all we are happy with it.

Love love LOVE this ice maker from Govee. It is so nice to be far away and program it to make ice for when I get home. Definitely compliments a Govee everything smart home. The LED light is nice and it makes ice super freaking fast. Beautiful product. The noise is high but for me personally I really don’t mind it. I also love that it cleans itself. Other ice makers I have bought, the ice will taste funny after a while even with the cleaning function but this one has never tasted bad after months of use.

I held off writing a review for a about a month. I wanted to have an evaluation time and based on several personal Ice Maker issues I found wanted to see what my total experience would be. I was motivated by the Ice in the fridge coming out with the taste of whatever was in the fridge. Therefore it was tainting the taste of my filtered water that I also get from the Fridge.Here is my review and how I arrived at a rating of 4:The unit was packed very securely and encased in a Styrofoam shell. Although unpacking with out briefly turning the box upside down seems nearly impossible. I did let it sit for 24 hours after the unpacking so that any jostling it received could settle out.I washed the unit with soap and water to start with a clean ice environment.I filled the unit with filtered water from the Fridge and turned it on. I selected an ice size of Medium and have let it there since. I have included a picture with a close up of the ice so you can see the cube size.The first ice appeared after 9 minutes of running. this has been consistent production going forward from drop to next drop.The unit has been running as described since I plugged it in, with no changes in performance or noise levels. It has been running for 18 hrs a day everyday since I turned it on.now for some Pros and Cons.PROS:The noise level is not very bad. I chose placement for convenience and could easy place it somewhere that could mitigate some of the noise.It has an LED light that can be programmed with the smart App that goes with the device. You can set the light for different states. You can see in the picture that I chose red to indicate FULL.It has consistent ice size for each of the 9 created with each making session.I chose this one and paid a bit more to get the 2 liter water reservoir. This holds enough water to make ice all day from one filling. If I don't fill it in the morning first thing it will run out of water in the first few loads of the day.There is an APP for it that allows you to control a bunch of the settings, including Beep notifications and also allow you to set a start and stop time for Ice production. this way the device is not making ice and noise while you are sleeping.The ice bin is sturdy. You can aggressively break up ice in in the bin if needed.It comes with a magnetic scoop that sticks to the Ice Maker itself. it keeps it fairly clean this way and is convenient to scoop the ice.CONS:it says it makes 24lbs of ice per day. That is not a practical amount. with every 4th ice cycle the bin is full and the device automatically shuts down until the ice is cleared from the top of the bin. There is a picture showing the ice right after itis dumped and the red light on showing it is stopped. The only way you could keep continuous ice making is by clearing the ice bin into different storage.The 4 loads of ice it make before a shut off is just enough to fill my 40oz water mug. If you plan on using this Ice maker to supply ice for a party, unless it is for just a few people, it will not keep up.The ice made is very soft and melts pretty easily. If you drop a piece from your waist it will shatter when it hits the floor. give that the melt rate is very high and I don't know how quickly it would dilute a drink. I use i for water only so I am not sure.the ice is not clear it comes out white.The machine is not exceptionally insulated. With the ice bin full the ice at the top quicky starts to melt. Not sure there is a solution for this but beware there is little holding time for the ice.A simple Health notice:The water in the ice maker recycles. That means that the ice, as it melts places the water back into the water reservoir. So when you are getting ice always use the scoop. Keep the scoop clean. Do not use your hands to get ice out of the bin. to replenish the water reservoir, use a clean cup.I would like to address a few comments that I saw about this and other machines of this type.Noise: There is some noise when it is running. If you keep it in a space that is an open area you will hear the fan and compressor running while it is making Ice. It is a background hum that is noticeable but soon gets lost in the rest of the noise. When it is done with its ice cycle and drops the ice there is an audible clunk both when the ice drops from the making section and again when it is shuttled to the ice bin.Leaking: I did run into the leaking problem. This was because of overfilling. It was not noticeable when I initially filled it but once the Ice making process started, there was water running from the front where the basket hangs on the unit. I removed a little bit of water and the leaking stopped. There is a fill line and I went over that line.Summary:I have enjoyed using the ice maker. the fresh ice, not tainted by refrigerator odors, makes the investment worthwhile. The unit is nothing more than a personal ice maker as the production is not nearly what is suggested in real world situations. I plan on keeping it for this purpose, but I could easily see myself making a much more robust unit if I replace this one.

I have been through several countertop icemakers and this one is by far the BEST! It is not as loud as others that I have tried. It makes ice extremely fast. You can pick the size of your ice cubes and there is also an app you can use to control the icemaker remotely. I love the light that lights up the ice basket. You can customize the light color depending on the current running function. Some reviews mention a beeping noise. You can use the app to disable this function. This is my fourth icemaker, and it is by far is the best quality! MUST HAVE!

I’m sure this a fine ice maker, but we are just talking about ice. It is difficult to make ice better than a competitor. So that brings me to the huge issue with this one. This is the noisiest ice maker I have ever owned. I’ve owned 4! Unfortunately returning this for something else and cannot recommend.

My freezer's ice maker has been broken for at least 6yrs and my home warranty company decided that they would no longer fix it, so we have had to buy ice. I recently bought a whole bunch of ice trays but all of the freezing and twisting makes them break - also with my arthritis, it's difficult some days to twist the ice trays. Ice is a simple convenience/luxury that we take for granted.When Prime Day rolled around, I decided to splurge and finally buy a countertop ice maker. The GoveeLife Smart Ice Maker was affordable and the fact that its a smart appliance made it PERFECT!! I have only had it for running for 2 days but I could not be happier. I love that I can turn it on from my phone, start a cycle and get a notification when the ice bin is full.Set up was sooo simple - all you do is plug it in, fill the tank with water, press start, select the ice cube size and BAM!! The app was easy to get set up as well and the ice maker connected almost immediately (which is quite rare - and I have a lot of smart things in my home). I have yet to try setting up a schedule but with how easy everything else has been, I'm sure it will be just as easy.I LOVE IT AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!!
