I am pleased with how this looks the app isn't too bad. The packaging is silly with how much foam it uses however that is always annoying to dispose of so it looses a star for that.

This is an amazing projector and so much better than the cheaper ones. We’ve bought the $30 variety in the past, which are fine, but nothing compared to this one. The effects are just so much better and there are endless options plus the ability to customize. It can also be synced to your music for a coordinated light show. I’m always impressed with Govee products and this one does not disappoint. Worth every penny.

I'm a neurodivergent individual and I LOVE pretty lights, my main bedroom lights are all smart bulbs specifically so I can bathe my room in different colors for sensory input. That being said- this projector renders them obsolete.I was a little worried about the reviews saying the motor was loud, but mine isn't loud at all. It's gorgeous, fun and functions really well especially with the app. The colors are vibrant and fill up my (decently big) bedroom. You can also dim them, which is awesome for nighttime. Definitely worth the price (which is a little more than I'm comfortable spending), but I'm really satisfied with it.It plays some white noise and has some little music functions too (that does cover the quiet motor sound), which is pretty neat! Another sick product from Govee.

Can't recommend Govee products enough. Saw this on a targeted ad and we already loved the smart bulbs. We decided to give this projector a try and it didn't disappoint. I'm a fan of soft lighting at night so it creates the perfect atmosphere for winding down. The app is user friendly and lets you coordinate all your Govee products to fit the vibe you need. There are so many different color options and customizations. The speaker is also fairly decent if you like using white noise to fall asleep. It shuts off after a set amount of time, so it's great for falling asleep to.

This was the brightest, most impressive, and customizable projector of the ones I've tried, but at a higher price and a significantly bigger footprint. For $80 it really should include a USB power brick. I don't have any use for the laser stars and white noise features. Even when I turned off the laser stars I found the motor noise distracting but YMMV.A brief summary of the projectors I've tried:Govee Star Light Projector (this item) - Adjustable tilt mount, vivid colors, memorizing wave/water ripple-like pattern, good iOS app, relatively loud motors. Bottom line: Pricey, bulky & relatively loud; I didn't keep this oneBlissLights Velarus - Adjustable tilt mount, vivid colors, memorizing wave/water ripple-like pattern, great iOS app, relatively quiet motor. Bottom line: My favorite projector with the only weakness being the audible motorBlissLights Sky Lite Evolve - Adjustable tilt mount, colors not as vivid as the Velarus, pleasing nebula/cloud-like pattern, great iOS app, relatively quiet motor. Bottom line: Excellent option if you want laser starsENBRIGHTEN Aurora Crystal-Ball Galaxy Projector - Fixed-angle mount, vivid colors, memorizing wave/water ripple-like pattern, no app control, super quiet motor. Bottom line: Almost silent and very reasonably priced; would be perfect if the projection angle could be adjusted

Pros -Decent power cord length. Great design and well built. App makes usage and customization super easy. Decent ceiling coverage with the aurora pattern (not so much with the laser stars). The white noise machine is a nice added bonus.Cons -In a dark room this works fine but add a bit of light and this gets washed out. Seems they just can never get these projectors bright enough despite being able to turn the brightness down. Projector seems to have a difficult time hitting colours like purple and cyan despite you being able to select custom colours in the app. Speaker isn't great as a Bluetooth speaker outside of low background volume. I'd say 25% volume or less is fine. Any more than that and you start to hear the limitations. All in all, the price seems to be mostly for the build quality and the design as an adjustable projector. The rest can easily be found on cheaper models.

Bought this as a gift for my sister. She absolutely loved it. Compared to other similar items this one is well worth it. Beautiful colors, music and functionality. Easy to use. Coverage area was also larger than other similar items. Again beautiful item!

I looked at the reviews of several of these lights. I was convinced to buy this one when it went on sale, because it had some features others didn’t, like adjustable star lights and a tilting mount to allow for directing the lights where you want. The light pattern is beautiful and mesmerizing. I have it near my bed aimed at the ceiling. It’s nice for winding down. For those who read reviews closely, I wanted to chime in on drawbacks that others said.1) It seems silly to say that the light pattern moves too quickly or that the light isn’t bright enough, because downloading the app allows you to change the relative brightness and speed of movement for both the stars and the aurora individually as well as the overall brightness. When I first turned it on, I thought the movement and light level were perfect, but that’s a matter of taste.2) The “loud” whirring sound is really not that loud. You would have to prefer absolute silence (which is usually impossible to achieve) for this to be loud. It’s noticeable, but seemed very light compared to what some of the reviews suggested. Some drawbacks:1) it’s original price of about $80 seemed too much to me, especially since it didn’t have its own power block. But for the quality and variety of options, the sale price of $55 is worth it to me. And I happened to have a pack of USB power blocks I already bought that worked great.2) If you’re interested in the white noise selection, personally I only like one of them. Some of this is taste. I don’t prefer bird sounds as white noise or wind chimes. But the kinds I do usually like (wind, water) were not good sound quality. The one titled “drizzle” is the only one I’d probably use and maybe one of the soothing music sounds.3) It would be nice if the stars covered more of the overall pattern and weren’t so compact. However, I do really like that the stars move, and the app control is really easy and a nice feature, especially since I plan to use this as I am laying in bed before sleep. It basically makes your phone a remote control.Overall, I’m really happy with this, and I even was thinking of people I wanted to give this to, so long as the sale continues.
