Spooled off 5 reels with it before a camping trip. Simple device does the job very effectively. Solid metal and components are strong. I imagine I'll never have to replace.

I've needed one for ages, it was silly I waited so long. This one comes with some set up options. I liked that as I have multiple types of reels and I'm not always at home with a work bench to spool up some line. Small enough it can be packed and brought along for longer trips.

Got to use this today to put some line on a new reel. Usually I just let the spool flop around on the ground, freaking out the cats. This little device connected easily and securely to the table. It was easy to add the spool to the device. Line came off with the perfect amount of tension so that it never got tangled and it wrapped around the reel with just enough tension. Great addition to my fishing gear. Makes putting new line on a snap!

In my opinion, version A of this spooler is the best one of the 3 being sold here. It has the most metal of all three and thus is the must sturdy of them all. The springs are quite strong for their size so you can adjust the tension quite a bit to get a lot of resistance so the line you spool on to your reel is nice and tight. The horizontal part of the spooler is nice and long so it can handle even larger spools of line.For the price I feel this is an excellent value and certainly makes spooling up line on your reel super easy.

I have used this many times already. I really love it. You can control the tension easily and it sets up quick. I use to have one of my kids hold the spool and they would quickly get bored and stop tensioning correctly and I would get tangles and have to pull it back off and do it over. No more are those days with this little device. I get much better results and don’t have to listen to complaints the whole time. It was kinda weird spooling 3 reels without once hearing “I’m bored” but it felt amazing. Changing the spools to a different line is simple too. I wish I would’ve had this gadget years ago.

This spooler is a functional product with one irritating design flaw. The padded foot that adjusts to clamp the spooler to the bench top is hard-mounted to the tightening screw. This means that as you tighten the clamp against the surface the lower foot creeps and moves with every turn of the tightening screw. It makes it difficult to hold the clamp in position as you try to tighten it tight to the table.I have many other screw-type clamping devices and every one of them has a foot that spins free on the end of the tightening screw shaft. It's not a dealbreaker but it could have been better.

This appears to be made well and is a value compared to the cost of other options available. It was shipped fast and packaged well. Can’t wait to put it to use.. PLUS: I dont have to ask my wife to hold the line spool for me on a pencil any longer. lol

Works exactly how it should. I change out my line often and kids were getting tired of holding spool with a pencil lol. This is easy to set up attach to table and ready to go. Easy to set tension and keep it consistent. Feels well made and should last a long time.
