Our home is single-zone steam heat. I got the system perfectly balanced with new maid-o-mist vents, but two years later everything was out of wack again. Replaced each one with the equivalent Gorton and I haven't had to touch a thing in 5 years now. These are very high quality.

Buyer beware. Was sent a valve with rusted threads and some pitting on the body. Seems to be a used valve.

Had to replace the air valve on my 2nd floor steam radiator. I first installed a Gorton #6 valve but it was not pulling in enough heat. I then ordered the D valve and what a difference it made! My room is nice and warm now when the heat kicks in. It may even work too well as I've woken up sweating from how warm the room gets. Great product.

Like the product, just wish they weren't as pricey. You do sort of get what you pay for when it comes to steam vents however.
