These 99.95% Copper Nails come in a pack of 120 nails. It also comes with a 1.5" ×1/16" drill bit. I'm going to use these nails to get rid of nuisance trees. Supposedly if you nail them into the tree, when they oxidize, they slowly poison the tree. I will update this review in the future to let you know if it works. They look like quality built nails. So far I am happy with them.Approximate Dimensions:Nail Length: 1 inch.Nail Head Diameter: 5/16 of an inch.

Believe it or not, I got these to get rid of slugs in my garden that eat the hostas. I read that you can use pennies, because the copper creates a type of electric shock when slugs touch them. Except pennies aren't really made of copper anymore, so I was so happy to find these nails. They're so pretty and I can't wait to see how beautifully they patina when exposed to the elements. Great price too if it gets rid of the gross slugs.

…..so I cut one of these and as advertised, pure copper. Very nicely finished, btw.I think these are reasonably priced, but it has been over 40 years since I bought copper nails, so it might be a good idea to shop prices first.

I like these copper nails. My plan is to use them to apply a copper flashing to the roof of a birdhouse. If you do this make sure you use sufficiently thick plywood for the roof of the birdhouse so that the points of the nails don't come through the roof and end up exposed so that birds going inside can injure themselves! My plan is to have an airspace of a half an inch between 2 pieces of wood for the roof. I will use little spacer strips all around the parameter of the roof. And that will look extra nice because it will make the edge of the roof look really thick and substantial. Which looks good on your own house as well. So why shouldn't a bird have something as nice as you.? It will take a year of it being outside before I know how well these nails hold up to the weather without rusting for example. Obviously they're not supposed to rust, and if they really are solid copper they won't. They will just get that beautiful verdigris patina that any copper item left outside ends up with. But I really don't think that any handyman needing nails to apply copper flashing to the side of a house or a chimney is going to be reading reviews about the nails. im jus sayin...

Excellent quality and dimensional accuracy. I cut through one of the nails to confirm and these are solid copper. 5 stars overall for value and quality, would order again.

They come in a loose bag, which is a little inconvenient--some kind of hard container would have been nice. But they're as advertised. Seem to be properly copper and not just coated.
