A good selection of thicknesses. I only needed a little right now, to adjust the level on the cast-iron table of a woodworking machine, but expect this will last me years, maybe a lifetime.

This was great ------- it had the thickness sheet I needed , but with the other thickness sheets , I found other projects I can now do ---- and the price was great !

This is a handy kit when you need only small pieces of shim stock with various thicknesses; that is, when you don't want to buy a whole roll of each thickness. The brass sheets are polished both sides, free of heavy oxidation, oil, and dirt.For the 1, 2, 3, and 5 mil (1 mil = 0.001 inch) thick sheets, I checked the thicknesses at 9 spots on each sheet with a digital linear thickness gauge. In all instances, thicknesses were within +/- 0.1 mil of the specified thickness. I couldn't check the 10 mil sheet with the thickness gauge because the sheet doesn't lie flat (I think the sheets are all cut from a roll; the thinner pieces lie flat, but the 10 mil sheet doesn't). I did a spot check at 4 places along the edges with a micrometer; the readings were all 10.2 mil.[Note that the 1 mil and 2 mil sheets are fragile and need to be handled carefully. In my first shipment, these two sheets were excessively crinkled. I e-mailed customer service, and I received a replacement kit the next day. The customer service rep even checked the replacement kit to make sure it was OK before she shipped it. Top-notch customer service.]
