I had previously said the base was not shipped in the 3rd box to us, but actually the base pieces are in the same box as the mid section of the cupola. You cannot see them until you actually take the mid section out of the box as the base pieces are attached to the sides of the midsection. Since the description said this would be shipped in 3 boxes, we assumed we had a section missing. Turned out we were wrong. This is a gift and have not put it together yet. Will update to 5 stars once we do that,if it is as nice as it appears.
