Cute idea. My five year old loved making the cake. The taste was not something any of us enjoyed- seemed a little chemical or strange taste.

Each kit comes with enough to make 2 miniature cakes however incredients for the icing and sprinkles are not split into 2 parts. It is nice that it is fully contained including the little cardboard oven for microwaving and was a lot of fun to make and decorate with kids. Considering this is 2 cakes, and the time it takes to make and decorate (about 10 minutes) a cake, the price point is what I would consider reasonable. Did the cake taste great - not the best but not entirely inedible either. Would I make these again - for the experience, definitely! That said, the kit isn't essential for microwave cakes but the all-in-one packaging definitely helps!

It was for my daughter's Christmas present. Was too late for an exchange since they were sold out when I started a claim. I honestly thought it was going to have more packets. My daughter enjoyed it. You're better off looking up recipes for mug cakes and get the ingredients. Then you will at least be able to make more than one cake.
