The clamp has a nice tight spring. Cheaper than other similar clamps.I could do without the string line.

The tension strength on these is more than adequate to get a super tight line. I highly recommend for when you need to lay some straight blocks/bricks.

You will never go wrong with Goldblatt and Marshaltown products. They are simply the best of the best for masonary tools and these clamps are awesome! Forget the ridiculous aluminum thingees, this is fast and where its at!
