I bought this for a 1920's party. I didn't want to buy a new dress, so I got this fringe to attach with double-sided tape. It looks great. I used two layers - one underneath the hem and one over (see second pic). But this is only getting three stars because it took me about an hour to get that stupid green "safety string" off of it. If you pull too hard the fringe breaks and/or the seam at the top pulls and gets bunched, which it still did despite my best efforts. I had to go fringe string by fringe string to gently pull it out of that stupid green string. There has got to be a better way to keep these untangled because this was a nightmare.

Beautiful high quality, I really like it! At first I was struggling like many others to get the green thread out... But then I cut the amount I needed and pulled the thread from the other side (i.e left side instead of right) and it came out so fast. Just cut where you want, or in sections, and pull from the opposite side

I really liked the look of this fringe and it was pretty easy to work with, but was perplexed when I was finding teensy gold fibers all over EVERYTHING. So, if you need this for a project where you're going to use it and never touch it again– great! If you want it for clothing or upholstery, be warned! And make sure you store it apart from your other fabric and trim unless you want everything else to be gold too!
