It doesn't install well.The design of the bulb locking mechanism for the AD200 Pro prevents the protector from going in smoothly, and it can easily get damaged when installing the protector. I don't know why the locking mechanism is spring loaded. It should just retract all the into the housing when unlocking it. With the spring pushing the mechanism out towards the bulb the protector can't slide in between smoothly. You have to jiggle it around trying to get it in and not catch on top of the mechanism without damaging it.Once it's in it feels good though. Solid with protection. But putting it and out will wear it down quickly and potentially break the mechanism. Five stars for actually protecting the bulb once it is in. One star for not unacceptable process of trying to get it in.I will keep it and use it though because the flash will still work if the mechanism is broken, and I need the protection. I don't want to keep getting more bulbs when I don't use the protection. It's not like you're going to whip out the bulb easily when you're dancing with it. The bulb has a tight fit it in the socket.They should actually make a form fitting hard case or cap for the flash with the bare bulb head condition.

I bought this for added protection when not in use. The bare bulb is part of the Flashpoint eVOLVE 200 PRO kit which comes in a nice case with a charger, battery and adapters. I needed to consolidate the flash and accessories along with other accessories I added (reflector, barn doors, grid and color gels) into a larger case. I wanted something to protect the bare bulb inside the new case when traveling to an onsite location. This is perfect for that reason.

It’s ok. It has its purpose. Doesn’t stay fit that well. I may or may not use it, if I find that it actually fits well enough to stay on.

The cover will protect the bulb - it is certainly sturdy. However, it may not easily fit in the adapter due to the tightening screw. The flange at the end of the screw does not retract sufficiently to allow the cover to fit into the adapter. I found that by carefully bending one edge of the cover with pliers - without distorting the shape - I was able to provide a bit more clearance between the cover and the flange. The cover still fits snuggly, but I can now get it to slide into the adapter. If I had paid more for the cover, I might have returned it. The minor modification is simple enough and did the trick.

It fits the Godox AD200 bare head and protects the flash tube, what else is there to know?

Fingerprints, oils and smudges shorten the life span of bare bulbs.One time, mount your bare bulbs in the Godox bare bulb head, clean them carefully with alcohol and then cover them with a Godox AD-S15 protector. Be sure to tighten the locking screw. Your bulb need NEVER be touched again. It won't fit back in the Godox case, but if you tighten the locking screw, only the back connector is vulnerable. I just wrap mine in a dry wash cloth and wedge them into my carry case.

Anyone wanting this to cover the bare bulb of their AD200 or AD200pro, know it doesn't fit. Hoping it will fit my AD400 when it arrives.

They fit and protect the bulb on an AD200. They are tight, and there is not really any point in twisting them into the lock position, but these are great protective caps. I wish they were a little cheaper!
