Laut Verpackung angeblich reiß- und stichsicher-> definitiv nicht.Das ist sind einfach zwei billige Rettungsdecken aneinandergeklebt. Das kann man sich für 2€ selbst basteln.Keine Empfehlung für den Preis.

Purchased for hunting backpack in case I get stuck while out in the mountains while hunting. Hoping I never have to use it!! Super small and light, does not take up much critical space in the backpack or add weight.

Not what I was expecting at all based on description and images. Have higher quality space blankets that cost less than £1

Clearly made in China, uses the same cords and poorly made whistle included in other made in China "survival" products. The individual pack is light, but when you pack several of them together enough for the whole family, it's not that light.I picked them up as an emergency preparedness to have them ready in my emergency bag.

We bought these LIFE BIVY to keep in our vehicle in the event of an emergency on the road. We travel a lot during the winter and like to be prepared with extra blankets, shovel, flashlight, snacks, etc. Although that emergency hasnt happened, thankfully, we tested the bags by wearing them over simple clothing and shoes and sitting outside in PA's 30'F winter. We were still warm and dry after an hour. My husband tucked his coffee mug inside his bag but that produced condensation which made him cold sooner. I could have stayed out there for much longer. The bags pack up very small so they dont take up much space at all, are a comfortable, roomy fit, light and surprisingly very warm. I'll be ordering several more for our children who also drive in the winter. Great addition to our safety kits during storms of all kinds too. I only wish I could convince our cat to sit still inside it with me! Great find!

I made a mistake on a one night hike in the mountains in Ireland. Trying to save weight, I took a double walled tent, but left my Gortex Bivy sack at home. It started raining in the afternoon during my hike. By dark, I'd made some elevation and it was pouring and gusting HARD. By the time my tent was up, the inside was soaked...as in deep puddles everywhere. That was going to be BAD for my goose down bag. Luckily, I always carry one of these with me in my survival kit. I used it and it worked great. I got in it and commenced wiping the tent out with a microfiber cloth. Actually, at 40 degF, it was too good. I had to get out of it about midnight because I was too hot. But, the tend was dry inside from my body heat by then. When I got home, I spread it out over my outdoor table and let the wind dry it, rolled it back up and it's back in my survival kit. Worth every penny.

I was looking for a lightweight, reliable emergency shelter and several online reviews spoke highly of the Life Bivy. I thought the price was reasonable so I ordered one to test before getting more for the family vehicles. The design is straight forward and has plenty of room for a full sized adult. The package is small enough to fit easily in the get home bag and could prove a life saver one day. Overall I am very happy with the purchase and deal.

This emergency bivy could definitely be a life saver. It is lightweight and compact and won't take up much room in a pack. I plan to keep it in my hunting pack at all times. Like my emergency medical supplies, and bear spray, its something I hope I'll never have to use, but if I need it, I will be very glad to have it. If I ever get lost or injured, the orange color could help search and rescue personnel find me faster too. I took the bivy out of its stuff sack to check it out and when I got inside it, I immediately could feel my body heat being reflected back. I'm 6 foot tall and I was able to lay down and pull it up over my head if I curled up a little and bent my knees. When I lay straight, it easily came up over my shoulders. The bag isn't super roomy, but it does the job. I was able to fold it back up and get it back into the stuff sack, but it took a little time because the material is slippery and it was hard to keep air from getting trapped in the folds. That was probably just poor technique on my part. The material seems fairly tough, but because it is thin I'd imagine that sharp rocks or sticks might poke a hole or rip it, so I wouldn't expect it to stand up to frequent use. But that's not what I bought it for anyway. I'm keeping it for emergency use only and because its only weighs about 4 ounces, I won't mind carrying it with me. The price is reasonable too and won't break the bank if I need to replace it if it got damaged. If you are a hunter, backpacker, or hiker, I would recommend you consider getting this bivy. Put one in your pack and keep it there, because its cheap insurance against hypothermia and might just save your life.

If you are considering an "emergency" bivy sack, this is a good one to purchase. But note, this is for emergencies and survival. This is not something to carry around figuring that you would use it on a daily basis. Based on reviews, too many folks think that this is a substitute for carrying a sleeping bag. It is NOT. This item is lightweight and packaged in a convenient sack. Yes if you take it out to inspect, it does take a while to fold back up and to put in the sack. Also note, do not stick a sleeping bag inside this bivy unless in an emergency and you are getting drenched. This sack does not "breath" and you'll get condensation build up. I can't stress enough, this bivy sack is for emergencies and to keep you alive. It will protect you from precipitation and retain body heat. An item such as this is essential to any "bug-out" kit or back pack. I keep one in my truck and carry one whenever packing in the back country. IF I ever have to use this bivy sack, I plan to use it only once! Highly recommended.

for our car or for the bug out bags. I can't speak as to the size or how comfortable since I've never used one. But, I trust these bags because I've heard so many good things about them. I don't have room for a sleeping bag in my car but I have room for this compact bag. If my car ever breaks down away from home and it's cold I have confidence that this bag will help me survive until help arrives. And while I can't drag a full sized sleeping bag everywhere I go, this compact bag does not take up much room in my go-bag and it's not heavy at all. I am a repeat customer and have bought several of these. I will continue buying them - that is how much I trust them.

I have carried a bivy in my glove compartment for several years since I live in the northeast and it is handy for emergencies if I get stranded in a snow storm. My son got a job where he will be travelling on snowy upstate New York roads. I bought him this for his Christmas stocking. It looks well made and I will feel better knowing he will be prepared and warm if he gets stuck in a snow storm. He also likes to hike in the Adirondacks and I am going to suggest he pop this in his daypack when he hits the trail. Excellent product in a small compact size.
