The part I received is NOT a GM genuine part as advertised. It is NOT AC Delco. It is made in China and appears to be the same as other EGR solenoids sold on Amazon for much less.

replaced the original switch on my 1989 suburban. Works as advertised. The one I got was a Delco OEM switch.

Honestly, I’m not sure if my engine is using it or not. This thing is so old and tore up! (‘83 Chevy G30 with a Chevy 350)However, I know the product works (I tested it...). As well, it’s sturdy and well-made. Definitely works for any older GM/FORD/CHEVY. Quality product. Great price!

The part's box arrived shelf worn, faded and torn. I could live with that. BUT, the port filter has an obvious hole in it and is no longer attached rendering it useless. It appears to be a defective unit that was put back in it's box years ago and now resold as new? Sure, I can return it and hope for better replacement but, that's another week to ten days. Disappointing transaction over all.

In some earlier repairs, I replaced some components with non-AC Delco parts. As little as I like to admit this, it did come back to bite me just weeks later when they failed or were not working even out-of-the-box like they were supposed to.I bought this EGR valve control relay assembly as an AC Delco unit and it restored my vehicle's driveability immediately. I am glad that I avoided buying a competitor's brand; the pricing from Amazon was definitely cheaper than buying the same component at the dealership, and was also cheaper than the competing brands at the local auto parts store.
