Fit 2000 Buick Century and fixed problem with erratic shifting and slamming into gears hard

With my 2000 Buick century I experienced trans pump whine and hard shifting when transmission was up to operating temperature. My Buick did this every blue moon. By Turing the engine off and let the car rest. This fixed the issue, although by 122,000 miles this problem happened too often. So I knew there had to be a sensor problem. Note, I had no check engine light or error codes stored. Upon research this is a common problem on 4T65E GM transmissions 1998-2004. Thankful this part fixed the problem. I also changed the recommended shift sensors. The transmission is very smooth again. Take into account if you have a check engine light the and there is Code? This might not be transmission related. The 4T65E has it’s own computer that interacts with the ECM. If there is and engine problem? This could affect the transmission.

Bought this for my 2002 Pontiac Bonneville SSEi. I was experiencing extremely hard shifting after the transmission would be hot for an extended period of time. At first, the issue began over 200 degrees, but then it started happening lower and lower, until I couldn't even drive 45min without it happening. A fried told me the PCS (pressure control solenoid) was the issue and sure enough it was. After installing this, my car shifts the way it should again, even after driving 3hrs.

This solenoid is not in its original packaging, though it is in the right box. It also appears to be used, which is not stated, nor implied in the ad. As a matter of fact it is listed as New. It had better work perfectly for a long time!
