Keep in mind you don't always get a code.Often times the cruise control quits or the rear brake lights quit working! That was my case.I have replaced this twice now and the first time it was super tough as the factory put thread sealant on the threads .2nd time a tiny bit easier. So prepare yourself!Best if one could get a battery powered 1/4" drive in there!

El anterior ya no funcionaba y se encendian los faros al minimo movimiento. Cuando lo sustitui por este sensor se solucionó el problema.

My brake lights had been flickering and coming on by themselves even when pressing the gas pedal. Replaced the brake pedal position sensor and vioala, problem solved.

This was for a 2011 chevy cruze. This is not the original one in the car, but it is in fact the updated design to fit that model. Installation sucks. Part works great. Cleared up a check engine light.

This brake sensor switch was the solution to fix the check engine light problem. In my case the code for the check engine light specifically indicated that this sensor was the cause for the fault. This was a great savings over purchasing it from the dealership. The hardest part of the installation is getting to the part. The sensor is on the Top of the brake pedal under the dash. So a little twisting and contorting is necessary to install it. One bolt and one plug. Do it yourself at save $$$ over dealership labor. There are some great videos on YouTube to show you how to install it. Don forget to disconnect the battery when replacing the part. Not a hard thing to do but practice getting into the proper position to gain the proper access.

Wife's cruise control was cutting out intermittently. A google search revealed there was a good chance this little part was the culprit. For $8, it was worth a try. It was difficult to get at, but with a minimum amount of swearing, I got it replaced in about 20 minutes. 1 bolt, and 1 wire connection. Would have taken one minute in an easy to reach spot. In any case, it fixed the problem. I'd call it a win when you can repair a vehicle in 20 minutes for $8!

I like that this part arrived on the specified date. But it was slightly more difficult to install unless you are small in stature and can also contort your body

Worked perfectly. Finally got rid of my P057C fault code in my '11 Cruze. Should have bought this months ago, took 10 minutes to install.
