We had so much fun playing tetherball! Be aware that this is a really, really hard ball. It’s nothing like the softer tetherballs on our school playground 40 years ago. However, we couldn’t play tetherball at night with those old setups.

Call is very hard even with less air in it. But we aired it up to the right pressure and direction out because it was so hard. It was hurting our hands even using our fist or flat hand. I hope it comes out of it soon with where because we left to play it the light is great. It’s a lot of fun to play at night, but the ball is so hard. Sometimes it hurts to hit it.

First things first, this absolutely can be dangerous af to play with... half the game is dodging the ball, and it WILL HURT when it hits you, and when you hit it the ball. My friends and I had bruises on our hands/arms the next day - BUT if you're willing to take the risk, you are in for some serious fun that actually ends up being a total workout. It was painful at times (two of us took a hit to the face and even just hitting with a fist can hurt), but we were so invested in the thrill of it. The ball flying, we're fighting to get it back the other way and end up just volleying back and forth until we're worn out, that person almost wins, the other person steals it back, it was all such a rush. All of us were sore in the shoulders/arms the next day, but agreed that it was well worth the memory of the time we had together. 10/10, highly recommend.

Kids & adults had fun with this tether ball. I lights up great when hit, but since it only stays lit a minute or so (to conserve the battery), at times it will go out mid-flight, so it is best not to play in total darkness unless you want to get hit in the face with a disappearing ball. Over all, great fun and extended our play time after dark on a warm summer evening. Batteries that came installed in the ball did not last very long, but it does come with a spare set of batteries and a little tool used to change them out. You will need a pump with a ball needle to inflate the ball when it arrives and after changing the batteries.

Really cool product it comes with about 10 feet of decent string and batteries inside. When you hit the ball hard it lights up for about 15 seconds. If the ball is hanging and blowing in the wind it will not light up and run the battery down when it hits the pole it's being hung on. The ball is grippy like a water polo ball or new basketball. I purchased a package of 25 extra batteries size LR44 for $4. I've played a couple mean 30 min games of tetherball so far and I've not had to change the batteries. The batteries are really easy to change, just pull the little plug out. I have purchased other tether balls on Amazon that glow-in-the-dark, they only last about a year because the sun destroys them and are poor quality. This one seems to be more durable. Hope it helps.
