These stunning glazes add fluid colors and effects to smooth or textured ware, with optimal results at Cone 5/6. To use these glazes is to step into different ceramic glaze traditions of many cultures throughout history. This unique metallic glaze has a mirrorlike finish when fired and adds beautiful, shimmering accents to any work. Because it is not food safe, this glaze is perfect for sculptural work that calls for reflective, glassy surfaces.

I really like this glaze. I just love its metallic nature. If applied correctly can almost see yourself in the reflection! It is runny, which is not a trait I care for, but I'm sure people can work around this. I will absolutely continue to use this glaze!

Just to let you know that the product, while packaged very carefully, suffered a crack in the lid somewhere along the way and the glaze seeped out into the protective plastic. I did not return the glaze as it only lost about an inch and I needed it, so I could not wait. Hopefully the loss of glaze did not change the characteristics of the remaining glaze.

This is my new favorite glaze. It fired at cone 5 to a beautiful mirror smooth finish. I was amazed that a brush-on glaze would be so smooth and even. I did not experience any issues with the glaze running and I had it right to the edge with no kiln sticking. I am very impressed with the Palladium glaze. I just wish it was food safe.😢.Also really cool was how the finish seemed to have an iridescence like an oil slick on water. Really gorgeous.

My favourite - could only test it as only a little survived postage. So sad, it arrived open, on its side and tipped out in the box. Needed safety strip and wadding to prevent it from falling. Even if in a plastic bag I could have salvaged more product.

I have been using this as a stand alone glaze on various stoneware clay types ( red and white...with and without grog) The only way I can get the glossy finish is to use at least 5-6 coats at cone 5. It is a glossy metallic black/silver. My cone 10 experiment got very dark but retained metallic and glossy look. The thick coats obliterate fine details or patterns and it slightly flows on plain bisque.... but result is amazing and is a great accent. Not food safe for inside but outside is totally appropriate. Just ordered my second pint. Get lots of pos feedback from peers

Awesome glaze! I love it! Dark and metallic. I used it on cone 07 bisqued pieces made with desert buff (light) clay, and fired it to cone 5. As a bonus, it arrived faster than expected. Very pleased with this purchase.

In order for this glaze to work, it needs to be pretty thick (and it says that right on the bottle.) I found that around 4-5 coats worked best, but you need to let it dry ALL THE WAY between coats. If it is too thin it will be a nasty dark green color, so be sure to do a test first before committing to putting it on a piece. When it does work, though, it is pretty exciting. At full cone 6, it isn't bright like mirror glass...it is slightly deeper and darker than that, but still reflective and satisfyingly silvery. I find the surface pretty exciting.Other reviewers have also mentioned it is runny. I have only used it on flat tile so far but if it is on a vertical surface then maybe a waster tile is in order. Enjoy!!

I'm totally in love with this glaze. I've layered it over several Potters Choice glazes with consistently great results. The yunomi in the picture is Laguna's Electric Brown clay (cone 5-6) bisqued to 04 and glazed with 3 heavy coats of and 2 heavy coats of and fired to cone 5 in an electric kiln.Tip: I've found the Potters Choice glazes break really well on pots that have some type of texture.
