I give my dogs baths regularly. So I don’t ever seem to need this for my own dogs. I’ve never had anyone complain about the smell of dog in my home. But I also dog sit other peoples dogs in my home. And I will notice the smell of stinky unbathed dogs from them once they’ve been staying at my house a week or two. I will usually leave this on the carpet for 2-8 hours. Just depends on my schedule. I’d say it helps the best if you leave it on longer and let it work it’s way into the carpet. Me and the dogs have walked on it and I’ve had no issues and neither have they. It has a nice fresh scent. And I can confirm it helps cover the scent of stinky hounds lol

I live with three cats and the house gets stinky from time to time. I bought a case of this carpet powder because the scent is strong, long lasting, and smells really good. It masks pet odors and makes my carpet feel cleaner than when I just vacuum alone. It's cheap and works, and it easy to use - just sprinkle it on your carpet and rugs, let it sit about 10 minutes, and vacuum it up. Easy!

I LOVE products that have such fresh, clean scents like this does!I even sprinkle a lil bit in my cat litter boxes (just a little on top &/or mixed w/litter), & my kitties have absolutely no issues with the fragrance bother them.I know there are quite a few other uses for this aside from just sprinkling it atop of carpets to vacuum up, & using in litter boxes as I do.I often sprinkle it in hampers/laundry bags that have dirty laundry in ‘em! I really love this stuff!I’ve tried other scents of it throughout the years, but this is most definitely favorite one.And jsyk, just bc this specific one says it’s a deodorizer for “pet odors”. you don’t have to have pets to use it.JUST BUY IT & YOU’LL SEE WHAT I MEAN!I honestly can’t see anyone NOT loving the scent of it as much as I do! Even if you’re someone that’s “sensitive” to certain smells — I don’t think this one would bother those of you that are.

There are 2 ways to use this product:1) The traditional method is to turn the container upside down and dump visible stripes of powder onto your rugs, to try to vacuum up. This leaves BIG smells, more smelly powder inisde the vacuum to deal with, and... the product is used up fast, so you need to buy again.2) Or, you can put about a tablespoon of powder into your left hand. Then, walk around your home sprinkling very tiny bits of powder like fairy dust. A tiny pinch here, and a tiny pinch there. Next, grab your non-electric carpet sweeper and dance your way through the house, picking up debris and dog hair. This method leaves rooms smelling fresh, even with a Great Pyrenees Mountain Dog in potty training mode.A note about carpet sweepers: If you have a dog, a non-electric carpet sweeper is your best friend. It picks up hair, debris, and messes faster than a vacuum -- so you can clean as needed fast, and keep your home suitable for both humans and pets. A carpet sweeper does not replace a vacuum. Instead, the sweeper extends the time between when deep vacuuming is needed. Thrift stores often have used carpet sweepers cheap, and new ones are on Amazon for roughly $35.I LOVE this carpet fresh product, now that I've figured out how to use it daily with my carpet sweeper.

I had some lingering cat pee odor from an accident that occurred months ago. I just couldn’t eliminate that last bit of smell.Cue Glade Refresher! I sprinkled it on the carpet, waited about 30 minutes and vacuumed it up! BOOM! Smell gone.I must note that the entire house smelled like “fresh scent” chemicals for the next 24 hours. It was strong and nonideal. After that, the chemical smell subsided and the cat pee odor never returned!tl;dr - Product definitely works but leaves an overwhelming smell for 24 hours.

Gave only 4 stars because it took nearly 7 days to receive. But this product is amazing. We have a new puppy who makes mistakes on our carpet and after we clean the area and it dries, we always sprinkle some on this and then vacuum. The scent overwhelms the room with a pleasant smell. Smell last a few hours becoming faint over time. But does the job it's needed for.

The product itself is fine. How its shipped is a different story. I ordered 2 and both of them were leaking in the shipping box, about 1/3 of it was in the shipping box, which I then poured into one of the bottles. My second picture shows what is left in the box after I was done. The scent was so strong it almost made it hard to breath when opening the box. Its not worth my time and gas to drive about 9 miles and wait in line to return this product.
