Yes, 'Hate' is a strong emotion to hold towards an inanimate object, but I stand by my statement.The arm system or whatever they were going for that holds the bag open is a case of ignorant over-complication of a simple product, trying to solve a problem that wasn't there.For centuries you just secure the bag over the edge of the can, and the world functioned just fine.For some reason the fine folks at Glad, who ironically appear to have never taken out the trash, decided that two 1/4 inch plastic arms woud be enough to secure the weight of 13 gallons of household trash. Like putting your trash bag on a plastic hanger. Well, guess what? Unless you exclusively throw away tissue paper and whispers, the arms are going to buckle, making it a pain to get the back out.On top of that, the foot pedal mechanism has edges that will tear the bag once the arms have deserted you.As soon as I return from the store, Im going to use my new trash can to throw THIS one away.

It works well, and requires virtually no assembly at all. The lid opens up about 4/5 of the way using the foot pedal to open the can, and it feels kind of flimsy like it might break with repeated use. For now it’s a solid trash can. It blocks odors well, I’d suggest pairing it with odor blocking bags.It runs pretty big and 13 gallon bags seem too small to use. I use 30 gallon bags in it. There is a clip to hold the bags in place inside the can but its functionality is questionable at best. At most it gets in the way and I just pull the bags down over the lip.

We used it in the kitchen for garbage. We have not found a plastic bag to go in it. I specially like it because it is the right size garbage can for the. kitchen.

The bin has been successful In keeping the odour out. We clear the bin about every 2 days. Just note that there is no soft closing. Not a feature that is advertised anyway.

I purchased this garbage can to replace the garbage can that I have had for 7 plus years behind my bar. I don’t think this one will be lasting a forth of the time. Firstly, the clips that hold the bag in place is made of cheap plastic and this is the only way you can position the bag. If they break the garbage can has the go in the garbage with the bag. The can opens with a foot pedal, but it only opens half way so scraping a plate can be a little tricky. The garbage can holds a thirteen gallon bag but is bulky around the plastic holder. The entire can is plastic so it’s easy to clean. I will not purchase another garbage can made by Glad although I do like their garbage bags. I am not glad with my purchase but will use until it is no longer functional.

Me dolió un poco el codo el precio, aunque no es de los más caros; pero no se ve nada mal, tampoco elegante; utilitario pero bien y mágicamente mata los olores. Tiene buena capacidad, 50 litros y las bolsas de la misma marca de ese volumen son más baratas y fáciles de comprar. No me arrepentí de la compra.
