Product Description

Colorado Boomerangs has been hand crafting real aerodynamic boomerangs since 1987. The weight and durability of the wood is important and you need real airfoils for each wing. Colorado Boomerangs are light enough to be able to generate a lot of spin with the throw and they are also durable to withstand hard landings. They are made from 10 ply airplane grade plywood imported from Finland. Remember, boomerangs are like little airplane wings. They need to "fly" and being both light and strong are important criteria.

Includes our Exclusive Boomerangs Instructions

Illustrated "How to Throw Boomerangs" instructions are included. These boomerang instructions have been refined over many years to become an ideal teaching resource. Boomerangs do require some training and practice so make sure to review the instructions before throwing.

Realized one drunken night I’ve never thrown a boomerang so much to my surprise this showed up in my mailbox. I completely forgot I ordered it. Anyways, IT WORKS! Seems to be pretty high quality as someone who knows nothing about boomerangs. Pretty fun too.

I’ve had quality boomerang before and have thrown and have the boomerang almost locked my head off, but this boomerang does not come back to us at all. It lands at least 35-40 yards away to our left if we’re lucky.

The packaging was good and I like the note from the company that was included. This one looks almost exactly like the one my father had, that was 30+ years old. The detail is good and no splintering.

Hay que buscar un lugar de suelo con pasto que amortigüe la caída ya que está demasiado frágil y se rompe fácilmente

Got it to come back to me my first day! Only two out of fifty throws made it back but for my first day I'm okay with that.Sturdy construction. Hit the asphalt with only a minor ding and scuff. Scores of hits in the grass with no damage.Rear side finish has globs of brownish goop dripping from the finished side.Manual has the boomerang being thrown in the opposite hand hold position as the instructional video that there is a web address to in the very same manual.Overall I would recommend this. Very fun and I see why it's a sport.Side note: take the safety precautions in the manual seriously. Read them all. I had no idea how fast, far and wildly off course a boomerang could fly!

It was lighter and smaller than I thought it would be. The back has a rough feel to it and on the second day of obtaining it, it broke into two. Now I'm not a pro thrower by any means and I have other ones that have taken a beating but stand strong. This one looks like it was put together with plywood and feels like it to. Its a nice unit but if your looking for something to last you awhile buyer beware.

This was my first boomerang purchase, so I don't have any real point of reference, but so far I've had a great time with this thing. One thing you need to know before you purchase this, is that boomerangs take a lot of practice to get them to come back to you. If you're looking for something that you can try for the first time and have it return instantly, then you should try a tetherball. It took me a few solid hours before I could get this thing to turn correctly, and even then it was coming back to me about half of the time. I can easily see a small kid getting pretty frustrated with it, but if you take some time, watch a few YouTube videos, you'll be pretty happy.Another unexpected benefit, is that you do get some exercise using this thing. Of course, your arm gets exercise from the act of throwing. But also, a lot of the time you will have to run under the boomerang to catch it. Or, just run and fetch it, if you throw it wrong and it doesn't come back to you. I used this thing for thirty minutes and I was pooped from all the running. If you're not into running that much, then train a dog to fetch it. That will save you a lot of time.

My 8 year old grandson is fascinated with old style hunting devices. He's mastered his crossbow and saw a boomerang being used to hunt birds in a book. I looked far and wide for a starter boomerang that was the old style. Finally after days of searching, I located this one on an Amazon store and ordered it. It is sturdy, wooden, and exactly what he wanted for Christmas. PROBLEM! I paid for "overnight shipping" but did not receive it until 3 days AFTER Christmas. So, I printed out a picture of the boomerang as shown on the website and wrapped the picture in a box. This way he got to open his gift, but still had to wait for it. Luckily my grandson is a smart understanding little boy and he LOVES his boomerang!

A lot factors in when throwing a boomerang, so it may take some time and practice to get the boomerang to return to you. When you do though it feels very satisfying, and looks very cool. The wind is a huge factor, and if you do not follow the directions included with the boomerang on how to deal with wind, you'll find the boomerang will either not return at all, or worse, fly way off in the direction in the wind, causing you quite a walk. Make sure you have a ton of room all around you when throwing it, and keep it on the grass. The pavement will chip away and eventually break this boomerang.Well worth it though, I may have to purchase some other models.
