I initially had some concerns about this nightgown when it arrived. It had a strong chemical smell and didn’t feel like cotton at all—more like a synthetic material. I even called Amazon’s customer service to express my concerns, especially since this is a children's garment, and I was worried about the safety and feel of the fabric. I was ready to return it, but my husband accidentally washed it before I could. To my surprise, after washing it (with free and clear detergent, no heavy fragrances or scented products), the smell completely disappeared, and the fabric now feels soft and definitely like cotton.It seems like the initial weird texture and smell might have been due to some sort of finish or preservative applied during the manufacturing process, which is common in mass-produced garments. I'm glad it was accidentally washed because now I can keep it!The nightgown is really cute! My daughter is 14 months old, 30 inches tall, and weighs 22 lbs. The 2T-3T size fits her perfectly, with plenty of room to grow. The teddy bear design is adorable, and she looks so cozy in it. Overall, I’m pleasantly surprised by the thickness, quality, and softness of the cotton after washing. It’s a great buy, and I’m happy with the purchase.

It's so hard to find clothes that aren't made of polyester. The fabric is modal which from what I've read is from bamboo. The material thickness is good and its not to hot or too cold. It's soft for my daughter and so far she hasn't broken out. She has horrid skin allergies.

The quality of the cotton is very nice and thick. It’s not flimsy or see through. The cut is cute and the pattern we got is very subtle. My daughter loves this nightgown and I feel the quality was excellent for how inexpensive. Will buy again.

I got two of these. The fabric is opaque and soft and the garment is made well. It's sizing is accurate. The prints are cute and the colors are fresh looking. Very nice nightgowns.

It's hard to find nowadays fabric with such good quality. It was a great surprise, my daughter loved it, it looks really cute in her and it's very soft and comfortable! I'll definitely buy more when she grows to the next size!

My 3 year old has been LOVING this nightgown. The material is a very thick and soft cotton. The neck is big on her and her shoulders pop out a little, but it doesn’t seem to bother her. Everything else fits TTS. I’ve washed it a few times and it seems to get better after each wash. We will definitely buy again!
