Really a very special way to embroider. Loads of fun and so easy after you watch the tutorial video. The pictures are easy to follow and printed dark enough to see clearly. It's a work of art, for sure. I do not think this would be easy for children 11 or younger. It does take quite a bit of dexterity.*********I used to punch a very long time ago, and I had to practice a lot to remember, but it's coming back. Punch embroidery used to be the "front" was the long loopside, and the "back was the flat side. With the lighthouse pattern, you use both sides to punch which gives a great textured look. However, the needle that comes with the kit has an extremely large eye, and the fabric is woven quite loose so the loops easily slip out.I recommend splurging on your own needle that you can get right here on Amazon. There are lots of choices but a wood-handle needle with three different sized eyes is worth the $4-$8. Then practice, practice before starting anything complicated.

This is such a great kit! It comes with two hoops, one for each project, which is my chief complaint about most embroidery kits that I've seen. Also the hoops are a really solid feeling plastic, and not bamboo, which I kind of like because sometimes the bamboo looks cheap and splinters. In addition to the main designs, it also comes with a separate test kit so that you can learn and test before beginning the primary projects, which is a really nice touch. The designs are super cute, and I am so excited to finish them. I would definitely recommend this kit!

I thought this was a fun kit that mixed punch-needle embroidery with felting. The images are very nice and allow you to use multiple techniques. It's an all-inclusive set, so everything that you need to complete this is included. The materials are a bit lower quality than those in other punch-needle or felting kits that I've tried, but this is aimed at beginners. Also, in light of the quality, the tools still perform their functions. I had a lot of fun with this kit.

It appears to come with everything needed, and I was so excited to start I pulled out the stitch sampler right away and got to it. but the punch needle is frustrating and makes me, a lifelong crafter, feel stupid. I put it down and bought a real punch needle. Now I wait and see if I come back to it.I LOVE the mixed media idea and it appears to have everything needed to make both designs. The scissors it comes with have a curved end.The fabric is a very course weave that frays easily, but fits nicely in the hoop. It really seems they put a lot of time and care into it. There are videos.

It’s a nice kit, unfortunately mine came without the advertised tools (punch needle, scissors, and so on).

I’m sorry I don’t care for the kit at all.. first the fabric raveled around the edge, I had to stitch it around so it would stay in the hoop. The yarn was sparse, so I had to use some of my own, I didn’t care for the “wool” you called it and didn’t know how to use it because the video (???) wasn’t where it should be or not instructive, it was just what the package had in it. The “tools” were cheaper than usual…..all in all not much to like at all. I did like the grass yarn, that was fun. And the finished product I don’t like either. The practice kit was a good idea but not useful for instruction.

There are no printed instructions on how to do this.

The yarn is too thick for the punch needle and is very difficult to thread. Once threaded, when you try to start the project, the yarn stays stuck in the needle and won't stay in the cloth. An additional needle set with a larger needle is needed to complete the project.
