I bought this for a cruise we're going on. I like that it's waterproof, yet light-weight, and I can roll it up into a tight package. And it looks casual-great. Just as important, it's a great value -- what it offers for the investment -- compared to the alternatives.

Looks good, fits as expected. Size M 5'7 & 180 lbs.As others have notated, the bottom of the jacket does seem a little snug when zipped, but I think it will be okay like that. If you prefer a baggy, boxy fitting/looking bottom a size larger than usual is probably better for you. Sleeve length was good. The feel & look of the outer shell is nice & as expected of waterproof material. The inner lining feels warm even though the overall weight of the jacket is rather light so it will work well for the hiking excursion. I haven't tested the waterproofness of it yet, but if it rains in the first week of August while this jacket is being used, I will return to update the results.

I purchased this as a gift. I had shopped around at local stores and found the quality to be lacking and the prices to be outrageous. I decided to try my luck on Amazon. This jacket checked all the boxes for my Dad - lightweight, zipper, pockets and a dark color. I purchased a large in gray. I included his details for reference: He’s 5’10” with a 32” waist. I bought a large. It fits him well with room to spare.I would absolutely order it again. He’s hard on everything so I’m sure he’ll need a new one in sooner than later. I won’t hesitate to repurchase. These are a good value for the price and the quality is excellent for a light weight jacket. I actually think it’s nicer than the big brands carried by local retailers.

Nice jacket for the price. Came on time, as promised.It's a nice weight and it is rainproof...I wore it the day after I received it and it poured the whole day. I stayed dry and warm. (I live in Michigan)The hood is nice, comes up over the forehead. It has an elastic drawstring and also a velcro closure at the chin.It has velcro on the sleeves to adjust the cuff size vs elastic.There is, 5- 1" velcro strips evenly spaced along the zipper from under the chin to the bottom of the jacket, it secures a 1" flap that covers the zipper. There are 2 good size pockets with zippers that you can put your keys, wallet or hands in comfortably. It came in a little mesh bag that matches the inside lining of the jacket (pockets are lined as well). Nice touch, good for packing it in a backpack or suitcase.It has a little loop on the inside of the jacket that you can hang it up on a hook.I gave it 4 stars because the velcro patches aren't sewed down completely but they appear to be secure.All in all, for the price it's a very nice multi-purpose jacket. Just wish it had an inside pocket for either a phone or whatnots.I purchased a large because I like having extra room. I am a woman with wide shoulders and fluctuate btw a size 8-10 depending on the time of year. It fits me great and is roomy but if you are wider at the hips, sitting down could be a little tight if you want it to cover your bottom.

I hadn't gotten around to writing a review on this jacket as up until today I had not worn it in the rain for more than just a couple of minutes. For those short times in the rain, like walking from the car to the entrance of a store it was fine. But today I had to be out in the rain because of a work requirement for like 15min. It was a steady, OK rain. Not pouring but more than just a heavy drizzle. For the first 10min or so things were fine. But then after that I could start to feel my shoulders getting cold. I didn't know if it was just from the cold rain penetrating through or if some water was penetrating. Turns out it was a little of both. Almost everywhere there were seams on the hood, shoulders and the middle of the back was damp. Not soaked but still damp as you could see the color difference in the fabric as I looked at the seams when I took it off once inside. This surprised and disappointed me as it says the seams are taped so I didn't think that would happen. I also noticed that when the rain was on the jacket for a while it would get dark streaks on it like the water was soaking in instead of staying beaded up. Overall I like the jacket. It's relatively loose fitting, which I prefer, is long and light enough and has full mesh lining. My only complaints would be that the sleeves are a little too long and the pockets are made of the mesh and I'd rather they were solid material. I'll keep it and use it for the short trips in the rain but I'll be looking for another jacket that I can wear in the rain over a long period of time and not worry about water penetrating it.

I have looked all over for a good wind-breaker. Everything was either too ugly or too heavy. This Gioberti's wind-breaker (and waterproof rain jacket) is really well made. Excellent design. It fit as I expected. Not too tight and not too big. I take an extra large and this is a perfect fit. The price is amazing. I would have easily paid $150.00 for this. I use it as a Winter jacket, too. With a scarf. And it keeps me warm without the usual weight of a Winter coat. (Three weeks later now I would only add to my review that the zipper is not of the best quality. So when zipping up and zipping down be a bit gentle and focused in doing so and you should not have any problems. But I'm going to contact the company anyway and ask them to put higher quality zippers on this product for future customers).
