This is a super-speicalized cable. I don't know how many people at this point have a Speakon output feeding speakers with banana plugs (aside from me), but if you do...you know how near-impossible it is to find this configuration.Works as intended. Great price point.

I took a chance on this item, after frantically searching for a suitable option to replace a uniquely configured speaker cable application necessary to facilitate a dependable, rock solid, high current electrical connection between my vintage (All Tube) Ampeg SVT II Pro Bass head's dual banana jack outputs and the newer Speakon type input connection of a Ampeg SVT-E 810 speaker cabinet. Rather than pay the $70 for the insanely robust, ultra durable, widely accepted, U.S. made, 1/2" S.O. rubber encased cable option that you can pull a truck with... I decided to go with the $14 item instead... How big a difference could there be? Omg, the cheap cable I received was made from a combination of flimsy thin gauge vinyl coated wire, only slightly larger than that of home stereo speaker wire and horrible loose fitting banana jack connectors so thin and pathetic they kept falling out of plug and the worst Speakon connector I've ever seen that couldn't make connection internally! Between the two horrible connections, If I haven't immediately realized that the Speakon connector was defective, that cheap cable would severely damaged my amplifier as tube type amplifiers require a solid electrical connection be established between the amp and speaker cabinet, because if a tube amplifier is operated with no speaker load, the transformer and or tubes can be destroyed within minutes. The lesson, don't purchase cheap junk to save $50 when it could cost you over $1000 to repair the damage it caused.

Suspected this cable would be a problem the moment I plugged it into my subwoofer. The quarter turn to lock it in place left it uncomfortably loose. But it worked so I used it. Mistake. With a couple of days - maybe 10 hours of use - the subwoofer only buzzed and quit completely if the cable was jiggled. Obviously shorting out internally. Now it' s a 6' banana plug speaker wire. Waste of both time and money. Not recommended.

Nice build and solid connectors on both ends. Conveniently labelled at the banana plug end for polarity (red/black).The best part is that both the banana plugs and the Speakon end can be easily disassembled and reassembled if you need to change the length or if the cable gets damaged during use.The banana plugs also have a piggyback for a second banana plug so you can easily run another cable if you need to for testing.

I am thrilled that a cable like this exists, let alone performs well. I have a bass guitar amplifier head from the early 90s that has banana plugs for its bridged power amp speaker out, and cabinets that can use speakon cable. Well, I can connect my cabinets to the head directly without any need for goofy adaptors, or using a 1/4" output which defeats the purpose of having a speakon connector. This cable is also a great length for an application like this.I am not sure what other use cases there are for a cable like this (an old receiver to newer PA speakers?), but if it's like my use case, I highly recommend this cable.

Perfect for a speaker next to amplifier configuration. No complaints on value, quality or performance. I do however plan on purchasing a longer set to allow for flexibility of placement of the speakers further out in the listing room.
