I didn't really read it correctly so I bought it for my 11 year old who is very advanced with reading and writing in her lexicon it is for younger kids I would say from when they can write and read then till like 8 years old. I'm going to give it to her anyways because she likes presents and it's sparkly but I'll probably when she's done with this get her something a little bit more mature as far as like more pages smaller lines 💙 super cute for kids just starting with diaries I have not tried the lock yet I'm going to wait for her to try it so I'm not sure about that but all in all very good

Neither my daughter or myself could open the lock. We sent it back and got a replacement; same issue. The company was very nice about allowing returns. However the product itself does not meet my standards.
