This gimbal guard is nice to have to protect the front of your Avata 2 from unwanted bumps. I've lost a few filters when I struck a limb or twig and to be honest, depending on the angle of the impact, they may still gt through to tap on your gimbal if you are just that kind of "lucky" flyer. The screws are very lightweight and thus you can easily strip out the head... be careful.

Good quality! Please be careful when removing the screws from your drone and be slow and take your time because one of my screws stripped with the provided tool! So I took one star away.

The weak point of this gimbal protector is the mounting location which is held by screws in place of the original screw location. If an impact occurs, that mounting point will likely break along with the drone body. They dont feel secured when mounted. Material quality is good at least.I returned this item.

This gimbal bumper is something that should've been included with the drone. The bumper consist of two alloy pieces that are very easy to install. Everything needed is included with the kit.The bumpers are not visible in the video and if you fly into a tree or a wall, they should protect the camera. If you smack into something at high speed thou, you'll probably break the mounts and all, but at least for lower speed crashes, this make the difference and save the drone from a scratched lens or damaged gimbal.The bumper is very light and doesn't affect the flight characteristics of the drone.If you also have aftermarket bumpers on the propellers then the this gimbal bumper might be redundant. When I put the prop guards on then in a head on collision they contact the object first and technically the gimbal is safe. Since I'm just at the learning stages of FPV flying I'm going to use both for now, as the weight penalty is so minimal.

The one weak spot on the Avata 2 is that the camera, lens and gimbal are exposed. This solves that problem nicely.The protector simply attaches with the provided bolts.I love the red anodized color. Looks sharp.The protector is out far enough to not interfere with the gimbal or camera.

This was a nice little accessory to add to my new Avata 2 to give it extra durability. This gimble guard is a nice lightweight aluminium in an eye catching color that extends out past the gimble to protect it during most collisions. It was very easy to install and does not show up in the video at all even in the widest view. Great addition!

FPV is a tough discipline to learn. You will knock, bump, and crash into objects other than the ground. This tool adds life to your drone and protects it. Well worth the spend!
