This sensor is more sensitive than the sparkfun hall effect sensor and worked great for my purposes. It's basically a drop-in replacement for the sparkfun one but with much better switching characteristics. To use this sensor, you need to add a pull-up resistor on the OUTPUT pin. It will sink the voltage to 0 when a magnet is nearby. Look up the datasheet for A31444 to find the pinout. Overall, I'm really happy with this little device.

Used these as part of an engineering project to measure rpm of an engine. They are extremely responsive and worked well with my Daq board. If I had a problem with them it would be the magnetic pole in which they trigger is not alwayd the same.

The product comes with no application note or any significant data, but You Tube is your friend for this product. I have already prototyped the circuit I want based on the data in the you tube videos, now I have to implement it in real life and put it through it's paces. The prototype worked as expected.

I'm sure these are beautiful sensors that work wonderfully but I ordered these not realizing they were digital instead of analog so they won't do me much good.

these are probably a good product but definitely not the ones you need for replacing in your hub motor. You need bipolar hall effect sensors meaning they switch from 5v to 0 depending on the polarity of the magnet they pass. These trigger 5v for any a magnetic field then switch off after another magnetic field passes which wont work as the hall effect sensors for a sensored BLDC motor.
