Worked great for my new 9800X3D build + 32GB of Corsair Vengeance CL30 6000MHz XMP profile. Didn't have to flash the BIOS to recognize anything, but I did flash it anyways. It also booted right into Windows 10 before I even had a chance to reformat my SSD and reinstall Windows (but I did anyway)Been running for a few weeks without any problems.Note: I put a Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE and a XFX 6700 XT GPU, and there is less than 1/4" between the CPU fan and the GPU, so it just barely fits. If you have a CPU fan that has a larger base than mine, it may not fit.

Pro: easy for installation, build quality seems high, some quality of life designs, I like its looking, budget option for X870 chipsetFunctionality: built-in wifi and bluetooth, sufficient I/O ports for typical users, BIOS interface is OK-ish but take some effort to find and understand every settingsCon: wifi for some reason is very slow (

Every stick of RAM I put in this motherboard was reported as bad by the motherboard. I did have some bad RAM sticks in the bunch, but eventually I discovered that it was reporting all RAM as bad, and I never got to see this board post. It never once was able to boot so far as to get into the BIOS. Stop telling me to adjust BIOS settings when I can't even get to the BIOS! It's a bad board, and I returned it.Gigabyte used to be my favorite brand of motherboard, and to get a bad one made me extra sad.

Worked with a 9700x and 6400mhz ram right out of the box, compared to the MSI board that I had to return because of instability, highly recommended

I watched a utube review which compared boot times from cold into Windows and for AM5, Gigabyte had the fastest boot times --- 25 seconds or so, versus up to a minute or more by competitors.Gigabyte also tunes your memory EXPO settings more aggressively than other companies resulting in higher performance in most benchmarks and games. It's not even 5%, but it's free.Temperatures for Gigabyte motherboards also tends to be lower than most other companies.Gigabyte was the first company to add extra copper between mb layers and the others now do it too.Cooling for NVME drives is aided by a huge 3"x 4" heatsink (or 2x3, I'm high) with room for 3 sticks. Thermal pads are stuck on already for you.It is a nice looking board that comes in ICE (white) if you want that style build, they do look great but are work to maintain dirt free!Does not include stand offs (should come with your case), or even screws (ditto) just a couple cables for SATA drives, WIFI 7 antenna, and some other stuff I forget. If you buy a case that still separates the leads for front panel power. led, hdd led, and reset into tiny little itsy bitsy little hard to handle little pieces of plastic instead of one 5x2 rectangle (as all mb's use the same configuration by now), you will be happy to know that this Gaming X includes a plastic socket that you can plug in the leads FIRST and then just plug that to the left side of the front panel socket. That piece of plastic alone should be enough to distinguish this mb from the competition as really, they are pretty much all the same in terms of actual performance that price should be a driving force in your decision. You can save maybe $40-50 getting a cheaper model without losing any performance such as you'd notice, except some features like USB 4 and and wifi 7, but you can spend hundreds more and see even less improvement.

This motherboard worked right out of the box with my 9800x3d without having to update the bios or anything to get it going. Every part was recognized and everything is running smoothly in my new gaming build. It did everything I needed it to do and the price was pretty good. I would definitely order GIGABYTE again in the future. Super pleased with the motherboard!

out the box the motherboard was flawless. It came with a warranty card, instructions and just everything you need to install. Once the computer booted, It recognized the new hardware and installed the gigabyte support stuff. As of now, I couldnt be happier with my purchase and would recommend this motherboard to anyone.

Got it, installed my new 9900X and G.skill flare Xs 96gb DDR5 with itSwapped over all my old drives. These new power connectors are kind of confusing and the manual doesn't help at all but I eventually figured it out.Didn't boot. RAM light.check online, says it wants B slots if only using two sticks of ram, not A1 and A2.Swap sticks, boots immediately. Set boot drive and RAM speed profile.Immediately boots to login like my old computer.Wifi isn't working.Update bios, use USB-C internet sharing with my phone to download wifi drivers.Wifi starts working.Decent number of IO, strong GPU pcie slot, plenty of space between CPU cooler and RAM, WIFI is working perfectly as my old one did at 250mbps.What more could you want? It works. Been video editing, 3D modeling, gaming, not a single issue in any of these. Motherboards don't get much attention because they don't do much, they ALLOW you to install other components that do much. This one works. Solid price for the chipset too.

Great motherboard, but the anti-sag bracket compatibility issue knocks a star off.I encountered a frustrating compatibility issue: the anti-sag bracket for my Gigabyte 4080 Super GPU was not compatible with this motherboard. Given that both components are from respected brands, I expected a seamless fit. Unfortunately, the bracket design clashed with the motherboard layout, making it unusable in my build.

I haven't been able to get past BIOS and now I can't even get to it. I've built many gaming pcs and never had that many problems. First the DRAM light was always red. I managed the use Q-Flash the update the BIOS. That works and got my to the BIOS, there I could see everything was detected, meaning CPU, 2 sticks of RAM and 2 SSDs. Then when I restarted to try and install windows, nothing, more more bios. I tried every version of BIOS, every combination of RAM possible, reseated CPU 3 times. Searched online for hours. I just think something is bad with the board. It can't be my RAM because I tried with a friend's kit. Now I just removed the cpu and I can see a burn mark so the motherboard might have damaged it. I don't know how this happened since the CPU was seated correctly and the cooler was working. Gigabyte is of no help, it's been more than 4 days and no answer on their e-support website. STAY AWAY folks!

I used a 9950X processor, which the older bios on this board didn't support. The board showed a red error LED for DRAM, which was quite confusing. I had to use Q Flash Plus to update the firmware to a newer one that supported that processor. Once I did that the board booted properly and I was able to use it.Gigabyte should update their website to explain this problem, because nothing was wrong with the DRAM, it was the processor/firmware that was causing the issue. Now that it is working I am satisfied with the purchase.
