One Card Dungeon is a solo dice-placement dungeon crawl played on a single card. Fight through 12 increasingly challenging levels to reach the final prize - the Sceptre of M'Guf-yn. Both the Adventurer and the Monsters are represented on the map by Dice, with the value on top showing their current health. Each room has one type of Monster, with anywhere from 1 to 4 of that monster to defeat in each room. The basic game mechanic is rolling three dice, then assigning one dice to each of your Movement, Attack and Defense. Adding together your skill levels in each of these areas with the dice you have assigned gives you a total number of points in each of these areas to spend, for example if you have a Movement skill of 3 and assign a 4 dice to it, you would have 7 Movement points to spend that turn. After each room, you may upgrade one of your four skills - Movement, Attack, Defense, and Range.

This was a fun couple hours, but the novelty wears off fast. Once you get through all 12 levels, it’s just more of the same. There is very little variation, and the different hero abilities do little to add freshness to the game. This is a good stocking stuffer, but at $20, it’s a bit high for what it’s worth. If you have the cash to spare, it is a fun time!

I like this game way more than I thought I would. Despite the one card aspect, it manages to not feel repetitive and it's actually quite clever. You can try the print and play for much cheaper but I am in no way disappointed with buying the retail version. For 12 color coded dice and avoiding the hassle of making nice prints with no storage, I'll pay the $15 all day.

I love the size of this and tend to seek out small packaged card games in this size. It's nice to also find a dice game in a compact size. Board games tend to take up a lot of shelf space that I no longer have. I hope to see more games like this. One of my favorite 1 player card games is Verflucht! If you are like me and struggle to find compact 1 player games, just wanted to throw that out there.

Have been getting into minimalist adventure board games and this one was a lot of fun! Definitely not a lot of depth but what it manages to do with so little is commendable. The artwork isn’t bad either. For the price, it’s definitely worth picking up. Gets quite challenging to win as well.

I almost won the game on my first try! It is an exciting game that forces you to plan your moves carefully. I highly recommend every solo gamer to purchase this inexpensive game. It will provide them many great gaming experiences in their future.
