Perfect little washing machine. I am living in my RV for the next 6 months and this has been a perfect addition. I have it drain into my shower and connect it directly to my shower head for the water source. Works like a charm. It is small enough that I can store it in my shower and move it out when I do a wash. And I guess most importanly it really cleans the clothes. Just don't overload it.

Get the less than $50 worth of spare parts Amazon suggests you get with your machine. Makes it last longer and gives you ability to use different taps if you move or bring it on a little staycation.Parts That I Got: ( waited til after I got the machine then kicked myself and THEN ordered haha...now all's I gotta do is snap the water inlet hose on to my tap, turn the machine on, select cycle and turn on my cold water... the machine does the rest - you can even leave your tap on the whole time - the machine makes it stop running when it doesn't need it! So cool! When your laundry is done, washer will beep loudly then all lights will turn off and the machine will be obviously off... then turn off your tap.)- Eastman 48373 Washing Machine Hose with 90-degree Elbow- Danco 10521 Snap Coupling, BrassOh, also get the dolly with locking castors... that's another fifty bucks.. so, if you're on a lower budget like I am.. start with getting the spare parts. The machine is only 40lbs (empty). So, relatively easy to move with just a few grunts haha but a dolly will take those grunts away! There's also handy dandy hand holes to quickly pick it up too if you laugh at 40lbs.Holds a small basket of laundry.Important note about powders: Because this machine is made for cold-water, if using laundry powder or a stain remover powder, you need to dissolve it before putting in into the machine or it'll get hard and come out on your laundry as crumbs. What I do, is I got a little measuring cup that's now just my designated laundry cup.With the stain powder, I put in just less the first line from the bottom of the scoop that came with the powder. I boil water in my kettle and slowly pour that into the measuring cup and the power dissolves and foams up fast and I just pour it right in on top of my clothes... it's ok to pour the hot water on your laundry in your machine. You'll be dumping a lot of cold water on top of that so it's all good. :)With liquid laundry detergent, I use a little less than the first line from the bottom... basically just a few drops of detergent is all that's needed with this machine.How you load the washer... first Power on, select your water level, then wash type: Then.. Put your laundry in first. Over top of that, pour your liquid wash (either factory liquid or dissolved using method above)... then, (if filling manually... if you got the parts listed above - just turn on your tap at this point and you can go chill til the machine beeps... manually filling it with water? read on...) add water until machine automatically starts. Each time when it stops for water - add water. When it beeps, it's done. A few of the loads I've done on the Low water, Normal wash setting: six pairs of winter socks and underwear with three pairs of cotton long johns and three cotton long john shirts... also did a load of three long sleeve pocketed floor length dresses bought here on Amazon (check my profile and reviews to see - I bought 12 of the same dress with different prints they're THIS comfy). Another load was three kitchen towels with two small shower towels. It started shaking a bit when I over-loaded it with three shower towels- but I was able to take out the third and all was well again.The machine runs quieter than the coin-ops. The faucet in my kitchen is a jerk so the first few days while waiting on the spare parts I ordered after the machine arrived, I had to fill the machine with jugs of water from the tap. It only starts up when it has the amount of water it wants in it - it'll even start for a moment, then decide it needs a bit more and the machine will stand idle until you add more water.I love this feature because of the exact situation I'm in right now: having to "manually" do it.. well, put the water in for the wash, rinse and second rinse.. (you'll know it needs more water when the machine is just sitting idle but with lights flashing... simply add water until machine turns itself on again, then relax til it's done that cycle..Then it spins super fast with the machine fully balanced (no shaking or thudding... unless it's overloaded as previously mentioned)..if you open the lid at any time during the spin the whole machine will light up and beep loudly until you close the lid again.. just fyi..When it's done spinning, the machine will beep super loud a few times then all lights will go off.The load is done.The laundry comes out cleaner than it's ever been and nearly dry from such an awesome spin cycle. It's perfect to hang dry or to pop it into a small dryer for a quick jaunt, (I got one - check my reviews!)I think if I treat this machine right, follow the manual - clean out the lint trap and whatnot, this machine should last me a good decade. It sounds dumb but I can't remember the last time a purchase made me this excited. No more communal laundry room is definitely worthy of celebration. Also, the shipping package does not indicate what is inside if it matters to anyone.The Giantex fully automatic portable washing machine is all plastic, maybe with the exception of the motor and the drum to keep it lightweight. The machine is the smallest I've found on Amazon. I live in a small apartment with no washer/dryer hookup so buying this made a lot of sense. The wash and spin cycles are not noisy at all. I feel comfortable my neighbors have not heard anything while it is in use.This compact washing machine is easy to use, although there are 6 wash functions, I just use Normal because they all seem to function similarly. There's a reviewer on Amazon that spells out each function if you care about it. The lint trap in the drum is crap so get your own and make sure there is some sort of lint collector at the end of your drain hose.I've had it for a few weeks and am doing a load every 3 days in the summer for one person. I think it will be more frequent during the winter when clothes are heavier. My apartment always smells like clean laundry since I also air dry. It's worked out so well that I bought one for my mom in anticipation of her downsizing from a house to an apartment! She's been using this instead of her full-size washing machine and love it more.The first week I had this machine I used a ($25) Rinsaroo hose that I use to bathe my dog to get water directly into the machine. This is OK if you are fine with manually adding water to every wash and rinse cycles. I highly recommend a Rinsaroo because it works well if you can't hook this up to any plumbing.After the machine proved itself, I ditched the Rinsaroo and hooked this up to my shower diverter. I can direct water to the fixed shower or to the washer using a ($19) universal dishwasher hose kit from Kalero (it is for a dishwasher but it works for this machine as well.) The kit includes adapters necessary adapters, an elbow adapter for the washing machine inlet and a 10' stainless steel braided hose. With some Teflon tape I was able to get it all set up in 15 minutes.I also mounted the ($63) brightmaison Space Saver Wall Mounted Laundry Clothes Drying Rack with Hooks and Swing Arms drying rack right above the washer so it is convenient for air drying. It is perfectly sized for laundry loads handled by this machine. No need to haul out my drying rack since it is right there. It comes in two sizes 17" and 24" depending on your needs and space.To keep this washer mobile, I've ordered the ($19) Milwaukee mover's dolly 16" x 16", it is sturdier and better made than anything else I've found on Amazon. But I have to change out the wheels for ones that have brakes. This dolly is 5" high so elevates the washer even more so I don't have to bend down too far while doing laundry anymore!

Love this compact washing machine, why didn't I get one sooner? It's perfect for apartment living, and it even comes in an unmarked box so your landlord doesn't have to know. ;) It's quiet, easy to set up, and fits in my small bathroom (which is around 5'5" x 7'5"). The unit itself is about 16" x 16" square and is 28" tall. You can barely hear the spin cycle if you're in another room, and there isn't a lot of noise or vibration at all (it does beep when finished the cycle). It is just a little below the height of the bathroom sink, so I took the advice of a few other reviewers and got the 6' long intake hose off of Amazon rather than using the shorter one that came with the washer, and then took that hose to my local hardware store where they got me set up with an adapter that easily clicks onto the tap on the bathroom sink whenever I want to use it. I brought a photo of the sink and the guy in the store was able to look at that and help me. You pick a cycle (there are 3) just leave the water on with the intake hose connected and hit start. There is another hose that hooks onto the edge of the tub and the dirty water goes down the drain aided by a pump. The machine is fully automatic. The lid doesn't lock, but if you open while it's spinning it will stop. You do need to make sure that the intake hose is tightly screwed into the back to avoid leaking, but once I took care of that it was fine. Have done six loads already, including towels. Was able to fit a queen sized sheet set with 4 pillowcases and a few other things (a few t shirts, underwear, kitchen towels) in a load. It fits about half of what will fit in a normal machine, but since it's in the apartment it's no big deal. If you overload it, it will start to make scary noises, so don't do that. The shortest cycle is about 15 minutes and things come out very clean. Better than the laundromat downstairs. Things come out of the spin cycle just barely damp and you just hang them on a rack for an hour or so and they are dry. Sheets were dry by the morning. I don't think you're supposed to wash with very hot water, but I wash everything in cold anyway. And if you don't want to hook it up to a sink, you can just plug it in, put the outlet hose somewhere it can drain and fill it with water and it will work fine -- but that's definitely more of a pain because it actually holds quite a bit of water and it takes a while to fill if you want to do the largest load size. I just ordered a retractable clothesline thing to hang above the tub and have already ordered a dolly for it to sit on which will make moving it around easier. Going to look into getting a portable dryer next. Yippee! Never going down to the hellish shared laundry situation in my building again!!!!

We live aboard a 41' sailboat with all of the amenities except laundry, until now.It is small and easy to use, does exactly what we needed it for. Space is a premium so this works great. Quiet, running and spin cycle is decent. Clothes come out damp but the same as my full size machine in our condo. There's no water left to wring them out when done. Downside is a full 40 minutes for a small load.
