My 2.5 year old loves this. I put my baseball glove on, and she thinks it's cool that she has one as well. Bonus for being Chicago Cubs colors. My only complaint is that the glove could use a little more velcro -- or maybe just a huge circular patch of velco as opposed to little strips. Sometimes you hit the mit dead center and it doesn't stick. But she loves picking the ball up and tossing it back just the same.

Great gift for a toddler 1-3 for their 1st baseball glove. Quality is okay but overall good for the price & age range. Very easy to use!

The material of the mitt is soft! It is a little big for my 2 year old's hand but it doesn't seem to impact his use. The ball sticks well but is still easy for him to remove himself. Overall happy with it!

Bought this for my 3 year old nephew, and it was such a cute and fun set! My 20 month son, ended up really enjoying it, showing it’s great for young toddlers. I was surprised how well the ball stuck to the mitt! It really makes it easy for anyone to catch, the ball sticks instantly once it hits the glove. The toddlers who played with our mitt and glove, were more into the throwing of the ball, but made it such a fun and easy thing to play with. Can be played with indoor or outdoor! Fun purchase for littles!

This is a very neat idea!! However we found that the glove did not stay on our kid's hand. We ended up returning it. But maybe it will fit your child better. It is a very cool idea!

What a fun little toy for a little boy/girl. I bought this ball and mitt toy for my 2.5 year old son to work on hand-eye coordination, as well as an addition to his toy collection, since he's been asking about Baseball a lot. When we opened it, he was so excited! The color and fit was wonderful for a toddler, and it still has plenty of room for him to grow into. It's flexible, and comfortable for him to wear, and the ball is nice and soft, so that you may play indoors if you so wish, and not have to worry about breaking anything fragile in the home. The only reason this product didn't get a 5-star rating from me, was because I found that the ball didn't stick to the velcro as well as I'd like it to. If thrown and not squeezed in the mitt when caught, sometimes, the ball wont stick, and will fall right out of the mitt. The more we used it, the stickier it got, so if at first you don't suceed, try and try and try and try again! It will eventually get roughed up enough to become sticky enough for a toddler to be able to catch the ball without much effort!

This is a simple velcro throw and catch toy... so for that reason I give it the three stars... but man is this thing cheaply made.There is barely any velcro on the ball (which you can see in the picture... it's just a tiny white strip).My son is only 20 months and at the beginning stages of throwing and catching... he a bit too young only because he doesn't want to wear the glove yet... but I know we'll get more use out of it as he gets older... which is when the problems will begin for this item.the "palm" of the glove is made of a very thin felt is attached to the vinyl part of the glove loosely... when trying to pull the velcroed ball way from the felt you can see the seams separate... down the road after we get more use out of it I can see this glove not lasting.... the felt is so thin and there are loose seams everywhere...this toy is junky... if I know how cheaply it was made I would never have purchased it... however I am giving it 3 stars... cause of the price and we will be able to get some use out of it... but it won't last the long haul.disappointed

For Christmas, I bought this glove and ball for my 5 year old grandson, along with the wiffle bat and balls. ,.He seemed to be very happy with these....I also have written a review about getting his younger brother the Tee-ball set .This child who is currently into dinosaurs was more involved with and interested in the dinosaurs he and his younger brother got ,and others...(highly recommended also.) However, he wanted to go outside also and play "baseball" with his dad and brothers in between looking at the other gifts, especially the dinosaurs...I think he'll get a lot of use out of this set. I had purchased a set of a dozen wiffle balls and recently heard his dad already had to buy more...I don't know how long any of these plastic baseball/teeball sets will last, but they were relatively inexpensive, and the kids love to go to the local park and play with these with their dad.As to whether or not this toy is "educational"...I don't think each and every toy has to be. In this case, being outside and playing, using his muscles and developing eye/hand coordination, playing with his dad and brother....you cannot put a price tag on that in my opinion!
