HOW TO USE RATCHET SCISSORS: Put the plant at the very bottom of the blade, press down the handle to make the ratchet stuck in the first groove and cut the blade into the stem, slightly release the handle to make the ratchet stuck in the second groove and apply a little force again to make the blade further cut into the stem; Release the handle again, let the ratchet stick in the third notch, and force the blade to continue cutting, generally three times can cut the stem. If the stem is stiff, four to five cuts are needed.

These anvil pruners are fantastic! I have purchased several pruners over the years to replace my favorite Fiskars anvil pruners that I had used for over twenty years. None measured up until now. These Meperez clippers are now my go-to favorites. The grip is very comfortable, lightweight, sharp and rugged. Holy Smokes - a miracle in the hand. After using the 40" compound hopper to remove a 2' driveway offending branch, this anvil cutter with its ratchet action & finger retainer/bar, was an absolute blessing to reduce everything (but the main shaft) to handfuls of pencil sized squaw wood burnable in the barbecue for 76 year old arthritic hands.

My husband and will be able to use these, larger hands. They look well made and sturdy and looks like they will cut well.My hand is wide and shorter fingers, I hoped I could use them, but can not.

I love the handle on these clippers. My hand fit in it without pain and I was able to squeeze it to cut easily. The fact that it is a ratchet type spring made it easy to use. The blade is sharp and cut through small branches easily. The lock on the clippers however is very hard to use. I could not get it unlocked and had to have my husband unlock it for me. He even struggled with it. I am not able to close and lock it to store the clippers so I have to store them open which isn’t too safe,

It is easy to use for my small , arthritic hand. I am left handed and they operate equally well for my right handed husband. The connections seem loose and a little wobbly but that might be necessary to keep the pruner easy to operate. They are new but I have already tried them out on various branches and stems and I am happy with the purchase. Now, as with anything, I just hope that I will love them in 5 years.

These shears were very inexpensive and very light weight. I use them to prune my flower bushes and they are easy to use without making my arthritis flare up after use.

These work as intended... there is less strain on the hands, and they cut cleanly. They don't seem very sturdy, however, since they have a lot of plastic in the construction. Since the price is not bad, I suggest handling and storing them with care. Otherwise, satisfactory.

We have bought 3 sets of these. Wife really liked them so one set at the farm another at church and one set at the city home. Great for trimming and flower arranging work. But if you really need to do a lot of outdoor tree trimming buy the battery clippers you will wonder how you got along without one.

Really very excellent pair of pruning shears, especially for those of us with arthritis in our hands. I cleaned up a tangled mess in my backyard without a single thing of pain and I didn’t have to use a drop of oil.

Bought as a gift: doesn’t look giftable. It’s light and looks cheap with a Very poor finish and has Chinese script on the label.Unless the Germans have changed their script, I doubt that it’s from Germany!
