The Dog measures approximately 11 1/4 in wide x 8 3/4 in tall, while the base measures 11 1/2 in by 3/4 in. It has two 3/16 in holes drilled into the base for mounting. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this product. The metal is thick and very well cut. It shows a high level of craftsmanship. They include all the hardware you need to install it to include washers and cap covers to provide a water tight seal since this will be sitting on top of the mailbox.

Metal is strong and parts are quality. Now I tell people to look for the mailbox with the dog on it. Makes life easier.
