Equus Magnificus German Horse Muffins are the absolute best horse treat made. They are soft and chewy and great for hiding pills. I have a 30 year old thoroughbred and it’s really nice to find soft treats. Made with quality ingredients and always fresh. My horse checks every pocket for his muffins then goes back and checks again!They can be broken into smaller pieces for training or fed whole for giving medication or just a special treat. We always have a bag in the barn.

Gripes me to all get out that these soft squishy tasty nuggets are so expensive. Yes, I've tasted them, sweet molasses-y flavor. Not my personal favorite cookie (on the human spectrum) but, the horses will bat their eyelashes and bring on the sexy nickers for these babies, of course they won't turn down chunks of old carrots either. I have a gelding that needs daily meds. It is VERY difficult to get him to take a pill that is about half the size of a kernel of corn. I can hide it in one half to one third of this treat and voila problem solved. So yes, I am the cheapskate horse mom who rarely gives a whole cookie, but I also make sure to never run out of these things. I buy the big bag and keep most of them in my freezer then pull out a week's worth or so at a time. Amazon price is the lowest I can find and delivery can't be beat. My apologies to my closest tack shop which is about an hour away.

Huge bag surprised the heck out of me - and so heavy! Was really delighted to see such a big heavy bag of treats for 35$. My horses love these to death, even the dog stuck his head in the bag and grabbed a muffin. I love love these. I feed them to my older cushings horse and my young QHs and they all love them. I want to eat them they smell so good. Always so fresh too.

I purchased these specifically to hide my Cushing's mare's daily Prascend tablet, and they work wonderfully for this purpose. I divide them in half, then in half again. Her pill goes between two halves; the other two bits are morning treats for the other two horses. They are soft and moist enough that pushing the two pieces back together is easy, and once again forms a cohesive cookie. Plus, all the horses love them - I am mugged for these treats daily!! I have also tried Stud Muffins for this purpose, and those are a bit drier and more crumbly, so don't push back together as well to hold the pill securely. As treats, though, those are excellent also. I have not tried the Uncle Jimmy's Squeezy Buns, as I feel the cost is too high for their intended purpose. In short, if you have a horse that needs daily pills, these treats work very well! I have even made them up ahead of time and kept them in the fridge with no problems. Highly recommend!!
