Considering how light this is and sharp the blade is keeping this in the truck bag for traveling is a must. It works really well in cutting seat belts and other things. It also works too quickly remove clothing off of somebody if they have a life-threatening wound.

Everyone should have his especially if you go off road to fish or hike on dirt or logging roads - actually tried it on a seatbelt in a old car that doesn’t run, cuts it very fast and easy

Simple and small tool that takes up little space and can clip onto most molle and belt systems. These tools usually come as really cheap blades in bad sheaths, or as expensive survival knives. This one seems to be the only one on the market that hits that sweet middle ground for such a niche tool.

We love our Gerber (Fiskar) products and the strap cutter is no exception.The bonus glass break tip is outstanding.The actual strap cutter provides an excellent guard to prevent the likelihood of inadvertently making yourself an open-heart surgery patient.We have mounted the cutters within an easy grab of the driver’s seat with the seatbelt locked to ensure we can grab the cutter in the event of actually needing it.The tools is good to have, with the hopes of never having to use it as a life saving device.

I like this cutter a lot. I work in corrections and needed something to cut clothes, suicide ropes, and other misc items. It has worked very well. The way the tool is shaped makes it very easy to quickly cut items close to people’s skin without fear of cutting them.The sheath is 5 stars for sure! It has a nice positive “click” type engagement (similar to a level 1 pistol holster) and it is nice and firm. I have practiced taking it in and out probably 50 or so times and it is still retained like it was when new.

I've always found Gerber products to be well made & this is no exception. Blade is sharp & easily cuts through nylon straps & webbing. The shape is comfortable & easy to control, & the sheath hold the blade tight while still allowing for quick deployment. The included belt clip is insanely tight, but if you weave it through mills BEFORE attaching it to the sheath, there are zero issues. Already plan on buying additional ones for other vehicles.
