I reached the point of frustration with those flimsy, disposable plastic forks that are all too common at big box stores. I bought these well over a year ago. I've used about 80% of them. I think two of of them have broken, but that was under heavier use than any plastic fork could be expected to handle (Hard ice-cream and dense canned dog food - the one that broke in the canned dog food had also been used for that purpose for a long time before it gave out). The forks aren't quite as sturdy-feeling as the most expensive ones out there, but they're still very strong, and the value is amazing considering how many you get for the price. Very happy with them and I'll probably get another box when they've finally been used up.

We're a shelter for families and given the current environment, it's just prudent to use disposable utensils for everyone. That being said, it's a plastic fork that came in a box of 1000 forks. Price was acceptable for a low cost solution to a problem and while they might not be as sturdy as silverware, they do the job.
