Amazonconfirmed fit indicates this will not fit a 2006 Chevy Express 2500 4.8L. That is in correct. I just installed this in 2006 Chevy Express 2500 4.8L and it's a perfect fit.GM has consolidated parts that are exactly the same, but originally had different part numbers. Disregard the 5.3L as this will also fit the 4.8L

The part is OEM, eliminated the whine caused by a faulty bearing in the idler, very quick and easy fix.
