Natural characteristics of pull-up leather
-Different parts of the cowhide absorb different dyes, so occasionally color unevenness may occur.
-The Full-grain leather does not have much artificial decoration and coating, it is easy to scratch and looks "old".
-The process of hand-made products and the process of customs inspection of the package may produce some fingerprints and scratches. Especially obvious on dark leather. These are not product quality defects.
You don't have to worry about these scratches, precisely because of the characteristics of natural leather, it contains a rich oil layer, which will make the scratches fade away with use. This also means that your portfolio can withstand rough use.
This leather characteristic can also make the product more "personal", for example, you can get a unique mark by gently scratching with your finger, and it will disappear after wiping it with a clean soft cloth. Deep scratches can be wiped with leather care.
Due to the natural property of full grain leather, over time you will notice the leather change its appearance to a more mature and an aged look. This aging of the leather not only makes it more flexible but also strengthens the material. You can slowly enjoy the change of texture!

I plan on updating this review later with photos and video, but I would like to show it in action and I haven't had the opportunity yet.I ordered the oil wax leather, which is a dark reddish brown. It is gorgeous! So well-made! I could see this being used for art, education, or home office as well as a traditional business portfolio. And I only just now realized that it is marketed towards men. So let me assure you that women can appreciate this little beauty, too! I bought some Arches cotton paper blocks and travel journals specifically for this and I anticipate it will be the ideal companion for comfortable sketches en plein air. And yet, I can take it to a class or meeting the next day and look professional— though, ideally, I would buy a second one for this purpose as to avoid unnecessary rearrangements and possible stains from art media. Very well done, I'm so impressed and happy with this purchase!

It’s so nice to have a reliably functional everyday office companion in this “pad-folio.” The fact that I can zip papers into it and keep them from dumping and sliding during my commute is great!! The reality that my laptop zips inside as well is pure bliss!! No briefcase, no attaché case, just this padfolio under the arm (looking great when it’s there) or snug within a backpack and I am ready and equipped with all I need whether it’s work from the office, at home, or taken with me on one of my adventures. -Durable and secure and sure to age well with use. The portfolio is wonderful in many ways. Its features are great, the size is larger so a MacBook Air fits perfectly well inside, and the type of pockets and distribution is very good. The leather is very soft and nice to the touch. its construction seems solid.However, there is a yellow dye used in the production that I think is meant to give it a uniform color. That dye can transfer to hands and clothes. The company says it will diminish in time. Hopefully that will be the case. I would rather the dye is removed earlier since I don't want to gradually pass it on to my clothes. For illustration, see the photo: On the left is a fine Italian leather backpack and not the right is the portfolio. I treated both with a good quality leather conditioner. The towels you see show the discolor that the conditioner left on the towels after wiping the backpack and the portfolio.Again, I like the portfolio a lot. But the yellow dye is perhaps too much.I need to add an additional comment: first of all, customer service is superb. Very responsive and kind. Second, I ended up getting another portfolio, a waxed leather one. This one is not transferring any dye onto my hands or clothes and is very, very nice, too. It is not as soft as the other one, but I'm enjoying using it every day. I'm glad I got this portfolio. It is very convenient for my daily work.

The pictures of this product don't do the quality and care put into this portfolio justice. It has so much room and the zippers work great! The note inside the product also added to my excitement, knowing I chose a product that came from someone who really cares about the quality of their products. Definitely recomend buying!

This has plenty of pockets and is wide enough to carry my Bible, iPad, notepad and Calendar. I can also carry pens, highlighters and business cards. Zipper is well made and strong. Very happy with this purchase.

I carry a lot of papers and need to make a lot of notes. I needed something to carry all of these items in and stumbled upon this. It’s perfect!! The quality is top notch and there are more than enough compartments to carry everything I need. The 4 pen slips are perfect for carrying a myriad of writing instruments. I recommend this to anybody considering it. The leather is top quality and feels great to the touch! Amazing product!

A brilliantly designed, highly crafted standard of workmanship in luxury finish cow-hide leather with sturdy zips - which altogether clearly has long-life durability as well as style and form in mind in its construction. From a function and form perspective, it ideally suits my requirements as a writing case, document and laptop holder. My 13 inch HP laptop fits securely and comfortably in the purpose sleeve with its studded fastening tab. The writing pad section usefully takes both top and side hinged/binder notepads.The inclusion of a legal notepad and passionate message from the Gavarnie company founder and owner Ada is a nice touch. I believe it represents excellent value for money of this high-end product. Took two weeks delivery from USA to my home in Northern England....a week earlier than estimated on placing the order. Given its robust construction, the case does not appear to be designed for folding round 180deg (to A4 size) but works absolutely fine as opened flat on your lap or desk.Deservedly highly recommended.
