I installed this on a dishwasher in Jamaica; the original Start button on the touch-pad no longer worked. The new part worked perfectly for a dozen or so washes, but now the same problem seems to be recurring: I have to fiddle with the Start button to get it to start the wash.Not sure, but I wonder if this could have something to do with the electricity here, which is 50 cycles rather than the 60 cycles in N. America. So, do some research before installing if you also are on 50 cycles.

Had problems from day one with the panel on our dishwasher- it’s amazing how a decent panel makes function so much easier.

My start button stopped working properly. It would sometimes take more than 10 tries to get the dishwasher to run. Sometimes I had to resort to flipping the breaker before the start key would start working again.Physically, there didn't seem to be anything wrong with the start key, I thought it might be an issue with the circuit board itself, but decided to try replacing this part first since it's a cheaper fix. It worked! The start key works fine now.This was an easy fix. It probably will happen again in another few years, as I believe this is probably due to a design flaw that allows steam from the dishwasher to enter this pad, but at least for now the dishwasher works.

My husband installed this in about 20 minutes. Now my dishwasher is working like it was when we first got it.
