Very strong and fit my electrical panel

Cheap, simple, and does what you need. This is idiot proof. The difference between life and death. Without an interlock plate, you can overload your electrical panel if you forget a step. This plate physically prevents that. You literally can not turn on the generator breaker and the main at the same time with the interlock installed. Note. This fit most modern Square D Hom panels I tried but I found one old panel with tighter limits. I was still able to use the plate but had to cut it down to fit. Remember the important part. The point is to block the other breaker. Cut too much off and it doesn't work.

I was very happy with the price for this interlock kit. The directions on mounting it are not clear and show it being centered with the breaker, but it has to be mounted about 1/4 inch toward the center of the panel to clear the breaker's switch. Make sure to mark where it needs to go with the panel installed before drilling the holes. Once it was installed it didn't clear the height of the breaker so I added a couple of #8 washers under each nut to give it some height to slide over the body of the breaker. Now that it is installed, with a few tweaks, it works great.

Fits square d homeline perfectly. I bought the 4 screw model and doesn't wobble around like the 3 screw model would. Great value for price.

Exactly what I needed to properly install a 50 amp generator inlet and safely feed it into my 200 amp Square D Homeline panel.

I wanted to add a backup generator just in case and was perplexed by the price of these interlock kits at the big box stores. It's just a couple small pieces of stamped aluminum with some bolts... there is no reason they should cost over $70. The one thing I would say that is not up to snuff is that, although a thoughtful touch, the drill bit that comes with this kit is worthless. The first thing you should do is throw it away and find a sharp one. Other than that, this is a great kit.
