Our devices will allow only one main circuit breaker to be in the ON (I) position at any time. The bracket slides between the handle of the utility main circuit breaker and the handle of the generator supply main circuit breaker.The screws do not need to be torqued tightly, resulting in the inability to move the interlocking kit

Followed the install instructions to the letter but I was still able to flip the main breaker on (forcefully) with the generator breaker on--not good. I ended up having to elongate the holes slightly to get a perfect fit. If the material was a less flimsy I wouldn't have had to modify anything. It works but there is no room for error when installing.

This is a must for installing a generator to a house electrical panel. It's an ingenious ideal. With it a person cannot turn the generator power on without first turning the main power off to the electrical panel or vise versa.

This does NOT work right.....Sure it prevents the main breaker from coming on when engaged but DOES NOTprevent your generator breaker from coming on when the MAIN is on....it's just too flimsy.....so terrible andpotentially dangerous.

I've installed two of these generator interlocks now and as long as you do the measurements and pre fit the base and top plate you will not screw up the install.
