Muffler Body
Tubular Muffler + Wall Mounting Plate + Exhaust Adapter for Generator
The main muffler kit is crafted from hardened alloy steel and subjected to a baking paint coating process. This ensures superior rust and corrosion resistance as well as enhanced heat dissipation capabilities under varying environmental conditions.
The wall mount bracket features a pressed-pattern fixing ring design, which minimizes noise caused by vibrations. Additionally, it facilitates heat dissipation from the muffler housing, reducing the transmission of heat emitted by the muffler itself.
- Two different styles of exhaust adapters are included, ensuring compatibility with all brands and models of portable generators.
- This includes compatibility with Firman models such as T07571, T07573, WH03242, & H07552, as well as Honda models like EU7000is and EU6500is, among others.
- A roll of fiberglass cloth aluminum foil tape [5cm wide * 500cmm long, thickness 0.15mm]is provided to improve the sealing of the muffler kit.

Reverse Cross-patterned Design
The innovative fish-scale design of the inner chamber within the muffler tube, featuring alternating positive and negative hole directions along with segmented compartments within the tube, creates a distinct transmission path. This design enables sound entering through the positive and negative muffling holes to undergo multiple refractions, collisions, and cancellations along the inner walls of the tube, ultimately achieving an ideal noise reduction effect.
Silencing cotton
The interior interlayer of the muffler tube is filled with sound-absorbing cotton, which enables the generator to effectively absorb the noise generated during exhaust discharge and ventilation through the sound-absorbing filter cotton. This process not only dampens the noise but also effectively filters the exhaust gas emitted by the generator to a certain extent.
A Widened Exhaust Port
Employment of a widened exhaust port enables smoother gas expulsion during high-frequency operations of the generator, thereby preventing the generator's exhaust system from undue stress caused by exhaust obstruction, which could lead to damage to the generator. It ensures safer discharge of exhaust gases from enclosed sheds or barriers.
Installing Steps
Wall Mounting
Drill a hole with a diameter of approximately 5 inches on the wall (or wooden board), and install the mounting bracket of the exhaust muffler onto the wall (or wooden board) corresponding to the hole. Then, pass the exhaust muffler through the mounting bracket.
Exhaust Outlet Adapter
At the exhaust outlet of the generator, replace or install an adapter. Equipped with two styles of adapters, it offers wide compatibility with various generator models. Choose the suitable adapter and replace or properly install the exhaust adapter.
Connection at Both Ends
Adjust the distance between the generator and the exhaust muffler, and connect the two ends of the connectors with the matching 304 stainless steel corrugated pipe. Insert the connectors into the interior of the corrugated pipe, so that the corrugated pipe is exposed on the surface layer of the two ends of the connectors.
Pipe Tightening
To reduce the backflow of exhaust gas and enhance the sealing of the exhaust pipe, we provide a roll of fiberglass cloth aluminum foil tape. Use the aluminum foil tape to wrap and seal the connection point between the joint and the pipe, and tighten it with a 304 stainless steel U-shaped clamp.

This product worked perfectly for installing a generator in a shed and extending the exhaust through the side. It fit on to my generator with the fittings provided and reduced the noise level.

even if you remove the oe muffler the flange is way to small.most generators i have seen have a 1 in nipple at the end of the mufflershould not advertise as fits most

This should be considered as an extension rather than a silencing mechanism, am afraid of drilling a hole in the wall because it still is loud and it gets hot too.

Well, I submitted a video that was rejected by amazon that addressed these shortcomings. I am a credentialed engineer (retired) and so I give my honest professional opinion of this kit in this updated (written) review.Firstly, RUFUS insists that the hole in the mounting plate is 5 inches when in fact it is 3~3 1/8 inches in diameter. It is shown as such above in one of the photos. If you ask RUFUS it insists that the mounting plate opening is 5 inches in diameter!Why is this an issue? Half of the installations in this country will be in a concrete block, cinder block, or brick wall and in those circumstances there's no need for a 5 inch hole because these materials, in this universe, don't burn.A thermal barrier of 2 inches spacing between the 3 inch mounting plate diameter and a concrete, cinder, or brick wall is completely unnecessary for that reason. They don't catch fire! This should be intuitively obvious.The adapter and the muffler, as shown in the above photos with dimensions, clearly show a disparity in dimension between the hose I.D. and the O.D. of the adapter and muffler. The stainless steel hose, given its hardness, cannot be cinched (mechanically) down over these adapters using the supplied clamps. Another reviewer commented on this fact and I have verified the same. The instructions don't address this issue and one other reviewer above surmised that the foil tape was to be used to make up the difference in I.D. and O.D.'s.The supplier, and I hesitate to say they're the manufacturer of these components, should address this issue. In my professional opinion, using foil tape with an adhesive side to make up the difference between the two is not what would be considered "good practice" and could be unsafe because as the glue on the tape melts, the spacing becomes less and the mechanical connection can slide off due to the melting glue.The muffler and the adapter ends should be swaged to a larger diameter to provide for a safe mechanical connection that isn't going to slide off the end as a result of melting adhesive on the tape. The hot adhesive will actually morph into a lubricant that will cause this disconnect.I made a distinction above between manufacturer and supplier. I don't believe (my speculation) that they're one in the same. I believe these parts are packaged as a kit by the supplier but are not manufactured by them (purchased parts), hence the lack of control over O.D.'s and I.D.s.So, for these reason, I do not recommend this product!

Quality construction with the pieces and parts you would need to connect to a portable generator. For me, however, I needed it to connect to the generator (Westinghouse) exhaust which had it's screws spaced at 2 inches. The adapter for this exhaust kit could only handle 1 3/4 inch spacing. If only this small adapter were engineered to handle a little larger range, I would have kept the kit. Unfortunately, I had to send it back.
