The only issues I had when using this cover were there was a couple issues getting the holes aligned and getting a nice snug tight fit. Honestly I don't blame that on the product itself as much as just it being universal and not everything is going to be perfect.Once getting it all figured out I was able to get my gen completely covered up from the elements. I can say with the winter weather we had a couple big snow storms when I was testing this out, and this cover did an awesome job of keeping everything off and out of my gen.Getting it installed wasn't an issue at all even with the holes not lining up perfectly, there is a good amount of play to the cover prior to you securing everything down. Once secured I was able to just drop the folds and we were good.Something I really liked is the fill port is accessible just from simply lifting and rolling up one of the folds. So you're not forced to have to take down the entire cover in order to just refill the gen.As for protection as I said we had a couple snow storms and when checking on my gen there was nothing that got through. My gen was buried due to the amount of snow we received and still no issues. The cover also has really good heat distribution, and I never found it to get hot just a light warm, so there is no worries about it catching fire or anything like that.Personally I can recommend this, I do wish the fit was a bit better for my specific gen but again I put that on the universal factor more so then the cover itself.

A lot of product packed in the shipment!Besides instructions for assembly there are tools, brackets, support/frame, and the cover pieces.* the weatherproof covers are on one side a nice hard canvas material with a polymer looking backing.* each side of the covers are stiff and not floppy at all, a plus!* all metal parts are gloss black painted for long lasting in the elements* well made!!Other than describe the contents shipped to me, I am not going to assemble until it warms outside or the need arrives that I need to run my generator. Our high for the next 10 days is forecast to be about -20 C.Nice product!

This cover is quite sturdy, easy to assemble, and easy to get to things on the generator.

After losing power last week and needing to leave our generator in the rain, I knew we needed a better solution. With a $20 discount, I got this for $100, and for the price, I’m pretty happy. As others have mentioned, it does increase the size of the unit, which, to be fair, is stored at least 360 days of the year. The material feels durable and heavy, but unlike some other reviews, not all of the holes lined up for me. Three of the corner slots were nowhere to be found. I eventually gave up and used an impact driver with three sheet metal screws—voilà, problem solved!Overall, this is a much better option than leaving the generator exposed to the rain.

unfortunately it doesn't work how I intended, it is more permanent than I really wanted, and I have a 6000w inverter generator which it doesn't seem to fit, as that is more square than long. so, I can tell the components are high quality, and the tarp itself is tough and durable, but it just doesn't fit my unit. I will have to take some time to make modifications so it will fit, and possibly modify it so that it can just sit over top without needing to be physically attached,.

We lose the power at our house probably a couple of times per year on average. On some occasions, it has been for multiple days, so a generator is a necessity to keep the basics running in the house. And of course, if the power is out, likely it’s because of bad weather which is not the best conditions for running a generator outdoors. My hope is that this GenArmor Generator Cover will solve that problem. The package comes with all the hardware and covers to complete the assembly. As well it has a small hex wrench, and a screwdriver included which are the only tools you need to complete assembly. The instructions are significantly better than average with large photos and good explanatory text.I have a 4000/3000 Champion generator which is a bit older (probably around 10 years) and that particular model was not shown on the Amazon listing. It did mention that other Champion generators need an optional height bracket for installation. That was NOT the case with my installation though see the note below on the handle (and the photo).Installation was pretty straightforward given the good instructions. I only had two very minor issues. The anti-vibration pads didn’t all stick properly to the round frame of my generator though at least in one case that might have been because of dust on the frame. Either way, it was easy to just wrap some electrical tape around them and the problem was instantly solved. Initially I had some minor issues with the hole alignment in putting the side panels in place but by the time I had almost completed the job I was able to go back to the problem hole and it aligned quite easily. I think the entire process only took around 15 minutes or so.A nice touch is that they do includes some extra nuts, bolts and washers. My generator has a handle that attaches to the frame and initially I thought I would not be able to use it. There is a reference to installation with a handle for an entirely different brand of generator in the owner’s manual which involves buying brackets to raise the frame height. I did eventually find that I can install the handle if the top panel is removed (which is just held on by Velcro) so that will work fine to take the unit in and out of my garage. See attached photo. My only other comment (which does not affect my rating) is that since my generator is on the small size, the frame adds quite a bit of width to the overall unit when installed. Where I have it stored in my garage doesn’t have all that much space so I can’t wheel it in and out with the frame in place. Luckily, the design is such that the frame is held to the generator with Velcro straps, so my solution was simply to undo the four straps and lift the entire cover off to put the generator in its storage location. I mention this in case others have space issues and are considering purchasing this cover.Overall, this seems like a heavy duty cover that will protect the generator when it is used outside during inclement weather.

I have a Champion 3000 generator and this generator cover is fairly large when compared to my generator. Prior to ordering this cover, I was looking for its dimensions but they were not given either in the description or the reviews. I took a chance and I was happy the cover is at least bigger than my generator. The cover (when fully assembled) is 33" by 25-1/4".The cover's frame is constructed with a 3/4" steel square tube. If we subtract the width of the square tube the internal dimension of the cover is 31-1/2" by 23-3/4".The side skirts are 18 1/2" long. I found this was a little too short when I placed the cover on my generator. This left the bottom of the generator uncovered. Rain and snow can get into the generator in this uncovered section. The side skirts include Velcro straps to keep the skirts from blowing around. The cover is made of a heavy and durable plastic coated material. It keeps the generator dry from rain and snow. The internal cover is a polyester woven type of material. It's relatively soft and protects your generator from scratches. The cover requires assembly. All the tools are provided, including a Philips screwdriver and an Allen key. The Philips screwdriver is used to fasten the skirts to the frame. Extra screws/washer are included. The Allen key is used to connect the frame using the provided bolts and nuts. An extra bolt/nut is also provided in case you lose a set.An excellent installation guide provides step-by-step instructions, along with photos, to fully assemble the cover. The cover does do a good job keeping the rain and snow off most of my generator, except for the very bottom portion, since my generator is taller than the cover. Consider getting this cover if you're worried about rain or snow falling over your generator.

I must admit that I’m impressed with this cover. Everything lined up and all the screws went in easily. The design is well thought out and the cover fits my generator perfectly. Appears to be heavy duty and should last a long time.

This generator cover exceeded my expectations. It's fit and finish is excellent. Even the instructions are excellent. It fits my Westinghouse 9500/12500 generator. It is one of my best purchase from Amazon and is worth every dollar I spent. I highly recommend it.

Very good quality, well marked parts bags, and excellent, color assembly instructions -- the best I've seen yet from Amazon. It fits my generator as expected and look quite rugged. It'll be a big help during rain or snow storms up here in New England. Well worth the money.
